Kyle Walker snubbed again for England

Post by Milltown1882 » Mon Oct 06, 2025 12:05 pm

Don’t know what’s more frustrating, the fact Tuchel is going to leave him hanging 4 short of 100 caps or a player not getting called up purely because he plays for a lower team in the league.

He's not good enough for England anymore.

On the evidence I have seen this season he is more than capable and doesn’t appear much of his peak, just a bit.

This lad O’Reilly as a midfielder who has been playing at left back to fill in. Seems odd to bring him in when we have a right back crisis.

My instinct is Tuchel is going to be a flop. Leaving out Foden and Bellingham when the squad only have less than a dozen days together before the World Cup - that is a bigger concern.

Tuchel is not a winner like some.

Walker plays for Burnley not Man City hence the decision by Herrn Tuchel

Good for us, I'd say.

Shame for Kyle.

I think he could still do a bit for England at RB with a good squad around him - certainly doesnt seem to have lost his pace

No, he's had his day at the very top level both for club and country.

He’s been overlooked for a guy that’s played 10 professional first team games.

For me Tuchel is the worst choice for England manager EVER! Whoever made that choice should be taken out and shot at dawn! A horrible man!

Jordan Henderson...at Brentford

I'm not against Walker being left out, protects him for us, but it won't be down to the club he's playing for if Henderson is getting in still

I can’t help but think that if Walker (a) played for anyone else and (b) had been picked, the conversation would be about why Tuchel was feeding a 35-year-old caps just to make his century instead of blooding someone new.

No issue with Walker not getting picked. Henderson over Adam Wharton is the one that doesn't make much sense.

Henderson set for 150 caps not bad for a players whose been consistently shite in an England shirt
But if face fits with England you're in
Tarks best English defender by a mile but gets overlooked everything.

As a Gareth Southgate supporter on the basis that we had done sweet FA for god knows how long i eagerly await for the improvements from the people that wanted him removed.

Best English defender by a mile ?

He’s never been that even at his peak. He’s a very good player for sure but limited in terms of pace and distribution. There’s times he should have probably been in the squad but not now….and even then he was never the best English defender.

As much as Tarks was our best defender, he has never been the best English defender. Konsa showed the gap in class at the weekend; made it look effortless. Guehi also a big level up in ability

He wasn't overlooked, he messed up when given a chance.

With all due respect Tarky comes a long way down the list. Stones has been a good CB for England for some years now. Guehi is good. Not seen much of Konsa.
