I think he meant that he wants them to be asynchronous (yes, I had to look it up!).Tall Paul wrote:Surely if they're synchronised they'll always be injured at the same time.

Austin always was a wonderful poacher of goals, just one thing on his mind, although being a very different player with a very different approach and skill set Gray has some similarities he does know where the net is and hits the ball with venom.

It's opposite cycle synchronisation. Or something like that. They're a clever lot, our medical team (as long as it's not knees) - they'll work it out.Tall Paul wrote:Surely if they're synchronised they'll always be injured at the same time.

Depends how you define huge potential. With all due respect to Jay-Rod, even before his big injury, he would never have become as good as the likes of Kane, Rooney or Sturridge. We would never have sold sold him to Southampton if he had had the potential to become so.ablueclaret wrote:Jay had huge potential, and before the serious injuries continued to develop, thought he might become a prolific striker with his all round game but hasn't really managed that.

It'll be about half of that, dependent on final league position and number of live games.ontario claret wrote:Well known fact. All prem teams getting 200,000,000 from Sky this year. It's called television rights. Do you think they get to telecast and sell advertising time for free?
Re: Sign Jay now
When Jay is fit he still barely plays, there was talk of them loaning him out. He hasn't progressed since getting an England call up, gone backwards. 4/5 goals a season (average) over 5 years is crap, whether you're Jay Rodriguez, Michael Ricketts or Marvin Sordell. I don't care if he's from Burnley or if he has played for England once (Nugent, Ricketts) nor do I care how good he was for us 5 years ago. Right now, I don't think he's a very good player.IndigoLake wrote:I don't think anybody is seriously suggesting Jay is crap or not a good player (I don't think KRBFC believes half of what he writes). Jay Rodriguez was excellent in the 2013-14 season and has unfortunately been plagued by injuries since. That doesn't make him crap, that makes him injury prone. I still think he's a good football player but would I sign him? Probably not. His injury record suggests it would be a waste of a wage and possibly hefty transfer fee.
Edit - Here are a few players who are/were rather unjury prone. Are they/were they all crap?
Jack Wilshere
Nemanja Vidic
Arjen Robben
Sergio Aguero
Robin Van Persie
I can go on and onPoint is, just because someone is injury prone, doesn't make them a bad player.

Re: Sign Jay now
Here's my opinion on what will happen regarding KRBFC's last post.
Someone will see who wrote it, read the first 3 words, and then write a massive post about how much of a **** KRBFC is and how Jay Rodriguez is the best striker to ever play in the history of the world and it's only injuries that have stopped him from being on par with Messi and Ronaldo.

Yep, 4 to 5 goals on average a season would be crap if he was playing circa 40 games. He wasn't though, he has averaged less than 20 games a season so all of a sudden it becomes significantly less crap.KRBFC wrote:When Jay is fit he still barely plays, there was talk of them loaning him out. Re: Sign Jay now
We shouldn't have sold him in the first place. He is still a decent player and in the PL. He would still be a good player for us to have in the squad but realistically we need to move on and look elsewhere I wouldn't pay anywhere near £20m for him.

I think you'll find that at that time we needed the money.LaLigaClaret wrote:We shouldn't have sold him in the first place. He is still a decent player and in the PL.
