It's a **** idea that stinks of gimmickery.
Why would I want to watch a few shrivelled up prunes dressed in a Burnley kit?
Or have I got that last bit wrong and they'll be in a whistle and flute?!

Sorry Rhead.

(He's so well known I couldn't spell his name).
Steven Reid was to be one of the mascots but apparently he couldn't keep pace with the rest of them so has been dropped.

Good on the club, remembering the ones who have been around for an awful long time.
It must be absolutely crazy looking back having supported the club for 80+ years though.....

Must admit I was very sceptical when I first heard of it - thought it might make us a target of some mockery (especially if we lost the game). However I now think its a great idea - saw some footage of Atletico Madrid doing the same and thought it looked pretty special - the old dears were loving it, chatting to the players on their way out.
Also good publicity for the club

Ha ha, great comment! I can now see the old folk of Burnley are going to be completely ostracised because of this. Terrible!

Saw a thing on the TV over here in Canada last night. They were interviewing one of the mascots, a perfectly charming older lady. They asked her who she wanted to walk out with. Without hesitation, she said, "Joey Barton", with a wicked smile on her face. Perfect.

lovely touch from the club I thought. Shame the players decided to give them the worst FA cup performance they will have ever witnessed.

Nice to see your great-grandad remembered on the big screen today, KRBFC.

Well done to all the mascots today.
Just wondering, if one or two of them had swapped with a couple of the players would we have got a better result?

Nice gesture which I support, just wish they had set off a few minutes before the Lincoln players came out.
