Clearly a troll so congratulations on giving it the attention it craves.
Looking like it might be close to a sellout, I'm not able to check capacity per stand on my phone, where's Goody?

Quite a few seats left in the JM stand but reckon less than five hundred in the BLS, JHL & JHU combined.

Not sure what you mean by 'how many they hold back for walk ups'? Don't think they actually hold any back other than those which are unsold.Claretforever wrote:Depends how many they hold back for walk ups I suppose. Great figures though.

Why would they hold any back for walk ups?Claretforever wrote:Depends how many they hold back for walk ups I suppose. Great figures though.
The premier league have a rule where you need to keep 3k tickets for walk ons (not ST holders) but not walk ups they can sell them 3 weeks before the game.

Re: Crowd v Lincoln
They don't seem to offer all seats online. In the past when it has appeared as a sell out, the club have then stated that they have ticket left and that online sales don't mean it's a full sell out.Leisure wrote:Not sure what you mean by 'how many they hold back for walk ups'? Re: Crowd v Lincoln
As above, there has been occasion where it has shown as a sell out online and then the club has stated there are seats available. Rightly or wrongly, I've always assumed there must be 500 seats or sepomething they hold back for walk ups, nothing to do with league rules?Quickenthetempo wrote:Why would they hold any back for walk ups?

Re: Crowd v Lincoln
Not specifically for walk ups but they don't normally release the seats nearest the tunnel or the disabled areas until the rest of the ground is sold out, i'd expect a crowd of 18K + depending on how many buy this morning we may get 19K on.Claretforever wrote:As above, there has been occasion where it has shown as a sell out online and then the club has stated there are seats available. This happens when seats allocated to the Community and Group Booking sections of the club are unsold and then returned to the Ticket Office at the last minute for general sale.Claretforever wrote:As above, there has been occasion where it has shown as a sell out online and then the club has stated there are seats available.

Okay. I just remember a group on Facebook posting a sell out (it was online), and the club contacted them to tell them that was just online sales, and that there were a good number left. Perhaps that was the reason.Leisure wrote:This happens when seats allocated to the Community and Group Booking sections of the club are unsold and then returned to the Ticket Office at the last minute for general sale.

Re: Crowd v Lincoln
Hello my Burnley freinds
I had a wonderful day out in Burnley and a combination of being out on the lash all weekend and not wanting to rub it in meant i never got round to sharing my experiences of the day
Firstly although on the face of it your town seems like a bit of a sh*thole below the surface I found it full of character and good people. You may not be the best looking bunch but you sure are friendly and welcoming
On the match although you will not be happy with the result you should not be disheartened. Your team did not lack effort and on the day were just not quite good enough. To be honest a draw was probably the fair result but you probably had used up all your luck the week before against Chelsea
I was thrilled to get my half and half scarf to commemorate the day and one thing I must say about you Premiership outfits is you do know how to cater for the friendly family day tripper crowd
I made lots of friends and had lots of banter and your supporters in person are a lot nicer and more balanced people than some of the sensitive souls on here who think Burnley are the bee hole (sic
) and end all of football and who whine worse than my little sisters
That said they were some fun posters on here and thanks Wexford for coming back on as promised to wish us well so I will keep an eye on Burnleys fortunes and maybe post from time to time
Im sure you'll all be wishing us well as we show those gooners whats what and book our place at Wembley
Que Sera Sera

Re: Crowd v Lincoln
Absolutely. I think our fans have been quite magnanimous in defeat, wishing Lincoln nothing but good fortune in the next round. A lot of your fans have mentioned that too.
We didn't play well at all, and I think that was a mixture of not having to face a Chelsea, and Arsenal or a Liverpool, so the players taking the foot off the gas a bit thinking, wrongly, it would be easy. The amount of time we gave you on the ball compared with previous weeks was visible from the off. Giving their all last week was an emotional high against Chelsea, and it's sometimes difficult to raise your game again the following week. Teams changes (some of them struggled against Bristol, which tells you a lot about our depth), and lastly the fact that Lincoln were so fit, and well up for it. You certainly wanted it more than we did, got stuck right in, and by the time our players realised what was happening there were 15-20 mins left and we'd already been beaten in various departments by you, so couldn't change our game. It's just one of those things, and the beauty of the cup.
Best of luck v Arsenal. I hope you beat them and get a day out at Wembley! Up the Imps!!
