Yo be fair, even if we'd won a couple away from home it would have taken a huge slice of luck to win at Anfield. That's why they've got such a good record at home.FactualFrank wrote:I really don't want to be right, but I think if we do stay up it'll be close. We'll be there or there abouts come the end of the season. It's depressing, but that's the way it goes. We couldn't buy a win at the moment.

Obviously no one wants us to go down and we will still back the lads but it is becoming a problem and we could get dragged into the scrap in the coming weeks.

Think we will beat or match Derby's away record of 3 points. Really do not think we will win but hopefully we won't have to. It will be tight but even if we stay up on goal difference the staying up will be all that matters.

When we stay up, who on earth is going to say that we had a poor away record?

Nobody has forgotten Derby's record low points haul.

That's only because it was the overall points total. Most people won't remember an away record, especially if we stay up.boatshed bill wrote:We could find ourselves in the record book.

Mainly because it's not the sort of record that is likely to be beaten

It's looking increasingly likely we won't.
We are in danger of stalling just now, need to grab a win from somewhere to keep the pressure off.

Re: We wont win away all season
To be fair, we were always in the game and baring a few refereeing decision could have won that.
Wait until we start playing the teams in and around us.
We will beat Boro away, definitely.

We won't win way this season if Dyche does't drop all these negative tactics. All the rest of the EPL have wing backs who push forward and feed balls into the box. Our full backs never cross the half way line, its like watching 70s football

You must've missed that goal at Anfield that Lowton set up last weekTop Claret wrote:We won't win way this season if Dyche does't drop all these negative tactics. You said the full backs never cross the halfway line. That's simply not true and that goal last week is the proof.Top Claret wrote:One swallow doesn't make a summer Owd Hen

He also must have had his eyes closed in the first half yesterday.
Ward was camped in the Sunderland half.

Re: We wont win away all season
Well as we head into this seasons injury time its looking like a score draw between the troll and the happy clapper snowflakes with us comfortably staying up without even looking like winning away.
The happy clappers must be favourites to nick it at the death with a shock away win as it would take a miracle for both Swansea and Hull to pass us now
Either way someones gonna enjoy bumping this thread after the fat lady sings

Re: We wont win away all season
if we stay up, who the hell cares?
Its now borderline hilarious that pundits and fans of other teams seem to think that it matters.
All that matters is getting enough points to stay up, and we are almost there.

Personally I just look forward to KRBFC's little rants and ABC's new and exciting words or phrases each time we fail to win away from home.

Re: We wont win away all season
Apart from it being a mildly interesting stat to comment on I dont think anyone else but us gives two sh*ts whether we win away or not. I would guess its only on this message board the subject is still discussed and on here a troll can still get plenty of bites by bumping up the thread
Re: We wont win away all season
Fair play to the OP who nailed this back in Nov. We may have a chance at Bournemouth but only if they have nothing to play for.

Re: We wont win away all season
not really, it's fair play to Dyche and the players that despite all odds and a woeful away record (despite some good performances, we shouldn't have lost at Arsenal for example) we look like we will stay up.
I'll make a prediction for next season that i guarantee will be correct - we won't win the league. Go me !

He's been proven wrong and now that we have exceeded the 5 points that KRBFC bet that we wouldn't win he promised never to post on this message boardagain. Happy days.

Even though the OP has been on the 'Foe list' for as long as I remember, he did pretty well from December until nearing the end of April. 5 months.

Re: We wont win away all season
You were only just, by one away game wrong thankfully. Ever thought the lottery?BurnleySYS wrote:Im going to throw this out there i really dont think we will win away ALL season and it will cost us our place in this league. We cant stay up on home form alone.
We may get another 1 or 2 draws if we are lucky but it doesnt look good after absolute hidings away at West Brom,Southampton,Leicester,Chelsea. Non of these performances make me even think we have a glimour of an away win. Yes we got a very very LUCKY point at Man Utd but on another day they would of had 5.
Although i do believe if we change the way we play away from home and try have a do instead of setting up defensive then we may get 1 or 2 wins at the lesser teams. But Dyche isnt ever going to change how we play away from home just set up to invite pressure go 1-0 down then crumble as usual.
We also lack speed we dont have any except Gray who is wasting away on the bench. Feel sorry for him just because he doesnt fit in with Dyches hoofball he leaves the Championships top scorer on the bench when we are crying out for goals. We have become so awful and boring to watch its painful.
Will we ever win away ?
