QPR away on the overnight train stupidly believing you could sleep on it till morning. Walking around Euston and then most of London from 4am, then getting beat 7v0 as billy O,Rorke made his memorable debut. Mind you looking back now I probably would do it all again.

Getting married, I couldn't go through that again. However, still with her after 28 years so I might not need to.

Re: Your never again moment.
A good thread; it reminds us to enjoy these glorious days!
As mentioned by others above, for me it was always between:
Burnley 0-1 Rochdale (with 9 men at the end), about 1990, and that 3-2 cup defeat at the Riverside (with a few minutes left, and Payton sent off right in front of us by the goalie making a meal of a challenge) about 1998.
But I was just as gutted by Burnley 0-2 Portsmouth, 2010, and our hopeless collapse against the season's bottom team. Gutless, spineless, and Clarke Carlisle shrugging and grinning with the ref as he gave away a daft pen. I knew we were down that day.

End of our 20 game unbeaten run at Exeter, stood in the rain for 90 mins on those few steps behind the goal in 1982. Only bonus, pub was open at 5pm.

Re: Your never again moment.
The Accy cup game was a recent "never again moment" - especially at about 119 mins
We had stood through 2 halves of dire footy, plus almost all extra time. I said, "I hope they take the penalties at this end" thinking it would be the saving grace of the evening. Then Accy scored...
