Is that Gnabry the lad from Arsenal?
He's very hit and miss on footy management games.

I seem to recall a good player at the euros called subotic, how do you know the scouts are there?

Re: Burnley Scouts at Köln-Bremen
Subotic was apparently on the verge of signing for Boro last season.
That was about the only signing of theirs I would've been impressed with if it had happened.
Good partnership with Hummel's at Dortmund.
He'd be one worth signing if at all possible, his contract is up next summer I think.

Is that the marathon runner playing for Bremen?
Re: Burnley Scouts at Köln-Bremen
Modeste, despite being ex Rovers. Done well this season.
Re: Burnley Scouts at Köln-Bremen
Jauslav Drobny? Isn't he a tennis player?
I'm voting for Zlatko Junuzevic, if only because I doubt we've ever had a player whose first name begins with Z. Please correct me if you know different. Besides, he has a K after his name. Kapitan, one assumes.
Or, bearing in mind our "success" with foreign signings, maybe we're playing safe and going for Thomas Delaney.

Horn is a good keeper. Subotic was very good. Modeste has been doing well.Slurpy wrote:Who are we watching?
Max Kruse is a very good player too. Could do worse.

Not sure what the fuss is about scouts being at a Colne game. They've had a great season and it's one of the easiest towns to get to, by train or bus, from Burnley. Hope it was worthwhile.

Re: Burnley Scouts at Köln-Bremen
Yeah i like the look of Subotic as well but cb is a place where we need another young and hungry player who understands chances will be limited in his first year with us. Mee doesn't need dropping as he's been fantastic this year and there's no way Tarks will stay for another season if he's going to be on the bench.
Re: Burnley Scouts at Köln-Bremen
I'd take Bauer on a 24hr contract.

I suspect Modeste or Kruse is who we're watching. Both of them have scored a few this season, Modeste in particular!

Not having that John, it's a hell of a climb up Harrison Drive on foot if you've gone by bus or train.jdrobbo wrote:Not sure what the fuss is about scouts being at a Colne game. From what I've seen, Subotic is a very good defender. What's the story with him? He doesn't seem to have played much football in the last few seasons but he's only 28.

Re: Burnley Scouts at Köln-Bremen
He had a few injuries that kept him out of the team.
He also decided he was leaving Dortmund last summer, hence the Boro link which didn't happen for some reason and he's now out on loan.
I think he's out of contract next summer, but he'd be well worth signing.

Subotic has Serb, Bosnian, German and American citizenship. We have no chance with anyone that foreign.

Subotic or Hector if he's the one who plays for Germany.
And possibly Gnabry although he's only on the bench.

Ha,ha, remember from my cub-scout days that was the finish of the inter-pack cross-country run. Not been up there in a few years.ClaretTony wrote:Not having that John, it's a hell of a climb up Harrison Drive on foot if you've gone by bus or train.
