Hearts could follow Celtic with safe standing

Hearts are considering introducing a safe standing section at Tynecastle following the success at Celtic this season.

Legislation permits it in Scotland but I think it is potentially good news for us because it being a success in Scotland puts a bit more pressure on those resisting it in England.

Do we have safe standing in the CFS I haven't sat down for one minute of every game this season,and never been told to sit down either..seems like we already have it at the Turf it's just the poxy wooden seats that get in the way.

I thought the CFS was UNOFFICIAL, (turned a blind eye type thing) standing area but I was asked to sit down on Sunday.

Im three rows back on the end block,there is a red headed woman steward that struts about like hitler and picks on the kids asking the players for their shirts as they come out and go back in,but can honestly say ive never seen anyone sat down during a game... safe standing it works.... but for them wooden things they just get in the way,that stand would be fantastic packed solid with fans stood up.

Its safe standing unofficially. I know because ive stood all season although said red head woman got a little excited when we stood on chairs this week. Understandable tbf.

Its great news. When the CFS goes hopefully it can be the pilot for introducing it in england.

It was the said female steward that was demanding we all sat down. I'm in Block 7. To be fair to her, she was just doing her job as people in the block behind us were complaining. However as we are right next to the divide, the standing away fans would block our view, were we to sit down. Another Claret behind me pointed that out to her, but her reply was "Don't care about them, this is my block" So doing her job YES, but doing it fairly NO.

Against West Brom, a different Steward approached my dads girlfriend (Very short) and said she could stand on the seats if she couldn't see.

Surely if you go in the CFS, you should be prepared to stand. There are plenty of other areas that you can sit all game without being disturbed. The quicker they make the CFS an official Safe Standing area, the better.

Completely agree.I'm moving to block 7 next season so I suppose my standing days are over in that stand now if it's red headed womans block.

No, it's standing rather than safe standing. One hell of a difference. The thread relates to rail seats (safe standing) which is permitted in Scotland.

I did hear something that the Premier League could be looking to clamp down on away fans standing. They have the power to shut stands and reduce away allocations if it then persists. The only answer is safe standing.
