Not wanting or saying he could leave this summer, but if he did, who is actually out there for us?

Can't think of anyone else other than him that I would want should Sean leave. Not sure whether that says more about Monk or the "talent" available right now though.kentonclaret wrote:Gary Monk.

Re: Available managers.
If Sean does go then I don't think we'd be restricting ourselves to only looking at out of work managers.... I'd imagine that the amount of compensation we'll get for Sean will enable us to "poach" somebody else's manager.
Personally I'd be up for a raid on Fulham for Jokanovic....I've really rated them when I've seen them over the last season and a half and think he's a good manager. He can also put Tom Cairney in his bag and bring him with him too!

My choice would see a pairing of Roy Hodgson and Gary Neville.

Wilder (who Big Sam suggested to Parish)
All good shouts
Hodgson & Neville two-hats for the price of one?

Garry Monk would be my first choice - plays good football incorporating attacking players, but from a solid, well organised defensive base.
Diane Abbott could be available too.

I wouldn't be too bothered about that really, but I don't think his behaviour was the worst of the two managers that day.joey13 wrote:You did see him after they lost to Huddersfield , absolutely no class .

I wouldn't be voting for Monk until we find out what caused the Weeds implosion.
Re: Available managers.
Jorge Jesus the king
Rui Vitoria - manager of Benfica currently
I liked Jorge Sampaoli when he was at Universidad De Chile, fiery manager but looks set to take up the managerial job of the Argentinian national team.
Laurent Blanc is available.
Gian Piero Gasperini currently manager of Atalanta, had an excellent year.
Ralph_Hasenhuttl current manager of RB Leipzig.
Peter Stoger Koln had a fantastic season.

Re: Available managers.
We require Portuguese flair. A touch of class, a bit of magic added into the squad. I miss the flair, can't remember the last time I saw a Burnley winger beat a man. The excitement of a young 17 year old Nathan Dyer when he came off the bench for his home debut in a shirt 5 sizes too big is what we miss, the showboating and tricks of a Quaresma. The composure and class of a Steven Defour in the middle of the pitch. Ok, I'll stop i'm getting too carried away.

Let's go for Luiz Enrique whilst we are at it

Re: Available managers.
Patrick Vieira another shout, a man who demands respect. He has a little bit of experience with NYCFC. It worked for Real Madrid with Zidane. I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Graham Alexander with Robbie Blake as kitman, Wade Elliot as physio and Glen Little as assistant.

So you reckon we are a bigger club and a more attractive option than the GIANTS of Sporting and Benfica !KRBFC wrote:I don't think the manager of Atalanta/Koln/Sporting/Benfica is quite on the same level as the current Barcelona manager (well ex now).

Re: Available managers.
If we're looking at available managers, why not his man Sean Dyche? Oh, I know - because he's not available.
Can we please stick to politics, and not mischief-making like this?

Re: Available managers.
I think you underestimate the pull of the PL. I don't know what sort of salary Dyche is on, Jose is reportedly on £10M a season at United which isn't an awful lot given how important the manager is to the team. I believe Jorge Jesus is on £5M a year.Vegas Claret wrote:So you reckon we are a bigger club and a more attractive option than the GIANTS of Sporting and Benfica !![]()

I think you underestimate how big the clubs you have mentioned are, you are living in dreamworld and need to step away from the Portuguese obsession you have. There is nothing to suggest any of those managers you have mentioned would cut it in the Premier League, me and you would do well at Benfica with the spending power they have over there !

Perhaps we should have a committee of posters on here because they seem to know everything about football management. I'm sure some fantasy management app will give them the qualification to run a premier league club.

I think I recall seeing somewhere Dyche is on about £700k a year, similar to Howe.
That's probably gone up now though and he's on a rolling contract, mutually agreed by both sides.

About his impeccable character and he had morals , then went on to say Leeds had been in the top six all season , even though they were bottom of the league in September, he's a knob

Re: Available managers.
I would leave it to the board. Laws apart, and he may well have been the least worst option among the applicants, they have a damn good record
Re: Available managers.
Well say we do end up looking for a new manager this summer, I personally wouldn't let that one incident detract from the very respectable job he did there last season.joey13 wrote:Really ? Did you hear what he said ?

Plenty of managers behave like knobs, ask Derby, Leicester or Boro fans about their views on Dyche's behavior and they'll tell you similar.

£700k??? For a man who's brought hundreds of millions of revenue into the club over the past four years? I sincerely hope that's not true or he will be off!(Though I expect his bonus is paid in millions...)Sidney1st wrote:I think I recall seeing somewhere Dyche is on about £700k a year, similar to Howe.
