I reckon we'll have the Leicester template as a home kit and the Rotherham one as an away kit.

Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
I can live with that. Big improvement on the Leicester template.

I like it,looks good.
Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
Hope we don't have the Leicester template as it would mean our own kits will have looked remarkably similar for three seasons on the spin - main claret body with blue stripe running down the sleeve. Tie that in with the last two away kits and there's a similar theme that could with changing.
Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
I like that kit.

Buttoned collar no thanks!

It's looking like it's going to be similar to Rotherham's.

Teasers also on twitter feed. Looks like blue raglan sleeves with button collar.
Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
Maybe the away kit will be different, fingers crossed.

To be hoped so - the same colours would make it pointless.Firthy wrote:Maybe the away kit will be different, fingers crossed.

I hear the away shirt will not be the same design as the home shirt

Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
With all credit to WikipediaFirthy wrote:What are raglan sleeves ??
A raglan sleeve is a type of sleeve whose distinguishing characteristic is to extend in one piece fully to the collar, leaving a diagonal seam from underarm to collarbone giving the garment a relatively undefined look.
It is named after Lord Raglan, the 1st Baron Raglan, who is said to have worn a coat with this style of sleeve after the loss of his arm in the Battle of Waterloo. The Raglan sleeve was invented by coat producer Aquascutum for Lord Raglan to allow him room to use his sword in battle. It gave greater movement to the wearer, instead of the usual sleeve head which was prefixed.
Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
Bloody hell Tony we're wide awake this morning
I can live with Raglan sleeves as long as they don't have the stupid price tabs hanging off the sleeves like the Leicester kit.

I think it looks really good from that glimpse.
I can see it being very similar in design to Luton's away kit...

Sorry not a fan of the button collar and as for those stupid tabs on the sleeves, looks like they had some spare material to use up.
Looking forward to seeing the away kit though.

Nope. Not nice. Claret and blue will improve it, but the design isn't good.

Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
When I saw the button up on the club trailer, my heart sank hate to see that in a football shirt. If I was a player, I would want a transfer!
Fortunately, Dafabet still sponsors. I'll get another season out of my current shirt, which I like.

Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
It's OK, better than this year top imo
Obviously it would be better without any claret on the sleeve and no blue in the armpit, but it looks pretty decent. Please... white shorts for the love of god.

Looks like a training kit. Not a fan. But it's also not that important.
Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
I like the look of it. It could be a lot worse when compared to some other Puma kits I've seen in recent weeks!

Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
I don't like all those dots on the shoulders - ours are going to be claret dots on blue which doesn't show on that footyheadlines mock up
Re: Next years kit - same as Rotherham....?
The mock up looks very Villa.
We have had some poor efforts in recent times, which have been our most successful both in terms of achievements and financially.
Yet we still seem set on having the same micky mouse templates as half the football league.
Do we do this purely to make as much money as possible on cheap tatt?

I think Puma actually pay the massive clubs to manufacture their ''unique'' kits.MACCA wrote:The mock up looks very Villa.

Arsenal, Dortmund etc
We go through a third party called Genesis Sports who act as a middle man between us and Puma.
Anyway, it's not necessary to fork out on our own special designs, Leicester won the title and they still continue to use templates.

That said, I'd like to see us move to another company that aren't as widely used.
Under Armour make some excellent kits.

Surely as a Premier League team we can do better than copying a 2nd division teams away kit.
