The new Ian Moore.

Where we had Ian Moore as a dog chasing a balloon, Shane Long is a man chasing a pram down a hill, according to those who have to watch him week-in, week-out.
Albion fans had come to know, however, that his ball control could range from exquisite (the way he took down a long Chris Brunt pass before blasting into the Aston Villa net in November 2013 is still recalled fondly) to approximate (even now, sometimes when he runs with the ball he evokes a man chasing a pram down a hill). But it was the unsoundness of his finishing that was most maddening, and Albion maintained they were right to accept the bid even after Long returned to The Hawthorns two months later and scored a goal and created another in a 2-0 victory for Hull.

He followed up that tweet by saying "I still think Shane Long will remain at Southampton though. But thats just my personal opinion."

O'Connor knows his stuff, was bang on with Hendrick and Brady.

I will be chuffed with this, so much better value than Wood and offers us something different.

O'Connor is a fraud. He claims he knows what's happening but he either repeats common knowledge (bids for Brady etc) or makes things up. In January he said Brady had travelled up to Burnley about 5 days before he signed. Must have been walking.

Changed his mind to "very likely" now, saints have to sell before they can buy.

I'd be delighted if we get Long. Good player.

I'd assume that if we got both Long and Wood then Dyche would contemplate playing Long out wide due to his pace.

I can't see Barnes staying either as we'd have Vokes, Walters, Wood & Long.
