'Arry is back to normal

Post by JohnMac » Sat Aug 19, 2017 8:12 am

'Arry Redknapp after the defeat to Burton Albion:

"I need to change a lot of them because they are not good enough for 'Burmanum' City. This is a fantastic football club and if it's the last thing I do in football I will give their fans a good team."

"It needs surgery and by the end of the transfer window you will see a different 'Burmanum' and I'm telling you now this team will finish in the top 6"

I bet SSN are creaming themselves at the prospect of clips of 'Arry as he wheels and deals his way around the basements on 31st August.

I'm not so sure the owners will agree though.

They were good enough under Gary Rowett

I need to get hold of his knee doctor. Remarkable recovery.

Agents up and down the country will now have glazed expressions as they feverishly start dialing....

Would be nice to see him take them down to league one along with Bruce's Villa.

In fairness to him it sounds like he was suffering with a bad leg for a while as Barton refers to it in his book. He suggests it was getting on top of him in addition to the problems at the time at QPR.

As we all know Redknapp know's absolutely nothing about money, have pity on him please...by the way is he out of jail yet for tax irregularities?

Never mind he's knee, anybody know what condition his index finger is in?

I don't want him straining it on the 31st August when he pushes the button that lowers his car window

On the Championship page of the BBC football site there is a video of Harry Redknapp saying that he will NOT be paying inflated prices for players in today's transfer market to try and improve Birmingham City.

"wheeling and dealing Arry, wheeling and dealing."

Yep- the saying "a leopard never changes its spots" is fully applicable here.
The people at Brum couldn't have expected anything different though, so presumably this is what they want and endorse.
It could go either way (up into top half or fighting relegation) but it will cost them.
Have they ever expressed any kind of regret at getting rid of Rowett? Just about everybody else in football could see that was a v bad move at the time- and so it proved.

I can't see him lasting there long. He hasn't got a raft of cheques he can use. He walked from his job at QPR when his Chairman wouldn't finance any more transfers in the January 2015 window. Other than that I think you have to go back to Bournemouth to find him in a situation where he had to work with a very limited budget.

I thought it was John Terry's Aston Villa.

Kept Brum up at the expense of Rovers.

That's all that I'm bothered about. Well done HR.

There weren't any irregularities. It was all one big mix up. Apparently his dog set up an account in Monaco without telling Arry.
