I think most would have been happy with three points from the first two games, but most would have guessed the wrong results.

Wood is a welcome addition and definitely need a right winger that can cross the ball and beat his man!

Too many wasted chances in first half.

So obvious really. When a team is organised we cannot break them down. That's why we need better forwards.
Ward and Tarks were poor for their goal it has to be said also.

The one good point was Defour playing 90 mins.

I think in 93 mins we just saw why we desperately need some creativity. Didn't deserve to lose but very one dimensional

Oh yes, absolutely. I think we're currently 11th. Back to the drawing board and ready for the next game.

Quality of ball into the box not good enough again.
Sitter from Walters at the end.

looking at the bigger picture after 2 games
Burnley 3 pts gd 0
Swansea 1 pt gd - 4
Bournemouth 0 pts gd -3
Brighton 0 pts gd - 4
Palace 0 pts gd - 4
W Ham 0 pts gd - 5
that gd is a useful extra cushion

You can't be so bad in front of goal and expect anything less really, was nailed on they were going to score, oh well, onwards and upwards!

Sat with a bunch of baggie fans in Fuerteventura who were thoroughly decent, there assessment of game ...would have been a draw, two sides who cancelled each other out and it came down to who took there chance. Surprisingly they agreed with kanu sending off I wasn't so sure

I'd have took a point. Not much in the game, I had a feeling we'd rue Bens miss because they were bound to be more at it 2nd half.
Never really looked like scoring after that.

We certainly need to be more dynamic and fluid when attacking like we were last week, looks like a hangover from the Chelsea result.
Were in a very unforgiving league, back to the drawing board

Wrong tactics. You have zero chance if you play 1 up front v West Brom. What was Sean thinking !!!

We played well first half but thought Brady was inconsistent again. Sometimes his passing and touch are all over the place.

Probably didn't want to change a winning xi.
Tends to keep a settled side and doesn't like to chop and change unless forced to do so.
As a change of formation would mean most likely sacrificing Defour for the extra front man.
He probably thought we'd have the same level of creativity as last week with the 5 in the middle.

Would have settled for a draw today. Certainly would never buy a season ticket at the Hawthorns though with Pulis in charge

and if he went back to 4 4 2 there would have been many on him screaming about Dyche's inability to let go of that framework
I thought we did more than enough to win today - we didn't take our chances - they took their 1 chance - it hurts but not in the way some of last seasons defeats did

Nothing wrong with the tactics. Hard graft for Vokes against their giant defence but he battled well.
We had enough chances to win but our finishing and crossing was woeful AGAIN! They get one clear chance through a mistake and score.
Take it on the chin and up and at them next week.

We need to be a bit more effective ourselves on set pieces

I thought our set-pieces were good. It's just lacking that clinical edge. Mee really should have scored in the first half.

While Mee is heading wide - it looks like someone's got hold of Sams shirt!
