He played on with it for quite a spell so hoping he's OK.

Get another striker in before the window shuts and it wont matter as he'll be our 5th best striker and can stay injured for as long as he likes

Is this post for real?

Misses the Spurs game with ankle ligament injury...a very strange decision to allow him to continue for over half an hour, assuming early one was the one that did the damage

Re: Any news on Walter's Injury
Not sure what relevence how many historical goals Walters has scored as got to do with how he compares today with our other strikers?
I am sure i could name loads of strikers in the below leagues who have scored more then Barnes, Vokes and Wood but im sure you wouldnt be wanting us to bring them in as replacements for our current set
Also a bit over sensitive there elwa. I think we need another striker and if we get one I think we will have 4 striker better than Walters so therefore i am not worried about how long he will be out for. Whether I care or not causes no harm to anyone else so dont see what the problem is

Re: Any news on Walter's Injury
I don't think so DA - Walters has been identified as a player who SD thinks can make a contribution to our season - hence he signed him. While I would love to see a quick tricky forward arrive, to wish one of our players injured... and by definition weaken SD's hand is not only lacks class but is also (assuming you are a Burnley fan) plain stupid.Devils_Advocate wrote: a bit over sensitive there elwa. Re: Any news on Walter's Injury
I know Dyche rates him higher but i was giving my opinion which is that he is 4th best of what we have now and to get the balance right we need an Ings like player making him 5th best for me.elwaclaret wrote:I don't think so DA - Walters has been identified as a player who SD thinks can make a contribution to our season - hence he signed him. As for wishing him injured I did no such thing. I have no control of his injury and recovery but if we signed a new striker then Walters being injured wouldnt be that big a deal for me as i dont think he is a key player.
I would prefer all our players to be fully fit and injury free but there are some players injuries that would concenr me more than others and Walters isnt one of them
