We had a couple of nights in Ilfracombe last Christmas, mainly drank in your pub, really enjoyed it, thanks.Shipandpilotdevon wrote:Evening that's me!! Cafe at Putsborough beach run by a Claret as well. Ask for Tony and you should get a discount.

When you say that your moving just around the corner does that mean your taking over a new pub and leaving the other one, or expanding into a pub chain?Shipandpilotdevon wrote:Glad you enjoyed it boatshead bill, if your ever down this way again we're moving soon just round the corner so pop in and say hello. Re: Burnley ,fan in Ilfracombe
My lease is ending but we've managed to save, beg, borrow and steal enough to buy 8 st James place just around from us. It's currently a large tea garden but we're getting it licenced and going to do homemade pizza and burgers and keep Sky and bt sports. Hopefully we'll do well, it's a better location than the one we're currently in, plus the garden should seat about 100 and it's south facing!

Sounds good and good luck, south facing garden could be an attraction in the summer season but my only reservation is it might/will attract smokers which is difficult to segregate.

It is an issue we are going to have and not really sure what to do yet?!? Probably going to open and see what happens, as in where the trade comes from most food/drink family's/not etc etc. But if that's the hardest thing we have to deal with I'll be a happy bunny.
