League position aside, they're supposedly playing some brilliant football. It'll be a tough game and we'll need to be on it... switch those Turf Moor floodlights on!!!

No-one 'belongs' in the premier league. There's many a Swindon, Bradford, Coventry, Blackburrrrrn etc to prove that.

We'll play the fringe players again, quite rightly, but I also think Leeds will play a weakened team as well. It should still be a cracker.

Similar line-up to Rovers I would have thought. Would definitely play Pope. Would also give Hendrick some game time if he is fit. Agree that Leeds good start in the league probably means they will rotate too. Should be a good game. We need to get back into the 'fortress Turf Moor' mentality. Another home win on the back of the Palace result will build momentum again after the West Brom setback.

But thats how leagues work. Teams at the top usually beat those at the bottom. Was similar for us.

They are a decent side.

Leeds are a great supported side and im sure they'll snap up and sell out all the tickets we make available as they do at pretty much every away game across the country.

Make no misktake though, this game means as much to them as it does to us and will be used by both teams to give some fringe players a run out as like us their main focus will be on the league.

Even with both of us playing weakened teams it should be a cracking game and great atmosphere

Leeds sold their allocation straight away.

I'd expect some Leeds in the home end and always wonder why we run the "Clarets Number" scheme when it's so easy for visiting fans to register and obtain tickets. Last season I saw fans from Man City, Man U, Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal in the home end..... I can see trouble in the near future

My lifelong Leeds supporting mate said they are looking a good side this season, that was after 3 games. They are doing well and it's irrelevant which sides they have beaten so far. I predict a very difficult game next week and wouldn't risk any money backing us to win in 90 minutes.

Don't care one jot about this game.....like others have said, play the kids...! I'd play the under 14s Burnley girls team if we could.....need to concentrate on the league that gives us nearly £200million for staying up, so we don't need any injuries to our players from the dirty Leeds ****....

Agreed. Barring a Leicester style once in a lifetime fairytale in the league the cup competitions are our only realistic chance of silverware. We should be having a right good go at them!

Leeds United fans revel in the name 'Dirty Leeds', a phrase coined in the 1960's for a side managed by a bloke who left in 1974. Most who go on about it (theirs and ours) weren't even born, let alone remember that overly physical side that battered teams into submission. Using 'Dirty Leeds' all the time just plays into their hands and makes them feel even better.

We should be trying to win this tie and every FA Cup tie otherwise we are just another Club that measures success by the figure on the balance sheet. Okay for Owners, appalling for the fans and based on the fact our Owners are fans it should be a directive. I don't mind losing a game if we have done everything to try and win it in the first place.

It's a big game I think- especially given the fine start made my both clubs. Momentum is key and we could dearly use a cup run.
With the top 7 teams all involved in European competition, what better chance for us to have an extended run in one of the major cups.
I hope Clarets fans get on this in decent numbers, I was surprised to see how few appear to have upgraded their season tickets to accommodate this game when I looked on the website stadium ticket plan.

Risk vs Reward. Play our strongest side and we suffer another Heaton type injury, and people will be saying we should have rested a few of our first 11. I'd prefer a happy-medium. Giving players like Taylor game time, but also of course going out there to go through.

Win this, and we're four matches from a Cup Final. Why do people want to look at bank balances rather than cup finals? When we're not in the Premier League, we aren't likely to win cups but we can win promotion and celebrate winning something. Now we're in the in the Premier League, what's the benefit if we're going to try never to win anything ever again?
