O/T sportsmania alternative
My mania sub runs out in the next week or so. I know a few on here use it. Can anyone recommend an alternative subscription iptv service as it looks as though sportsmania are going down the bit coin route for payments. I have heard that Flawless are good but I cant seem to find where to subscribe. I used to use Ruya xl before mania, but that is over double the price.
Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
I am same position as you. Have a look at ACE TV which has been mentioned on here before. They have various packages which are not too expensive. Have not seen much comment on their quality or reliability though.
Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
I've tried Ace. Seems OK, not as high quality as a good Sportsmania stream maybe and also suffered from buffering. Also they don't seem to have the same range of streams. The Burnley v Leeds match last week was only available with foreign commentary and our game v Huddersfield wasn't on at all.

It will have been. If you download an app called livesoccertv it tells you what channels are broadcasting our game. Then it's a case of navigating to the correct channel.

Heard that ACE tv was being run by a dodgy outfit so not prepared to go with them, may go back to ruya, but was hoping someone might have signed up with flawless
Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
I had a look on the website. It seems the game was only on some of the streaming services and Bein Arabia (which wasn't working on Ace).gandhisflipflop wrote:It will have been. That's the link to Flawless. I've not used it yet as my Sportsmania is holding out for now, but I've heard good things from my mate who uses it. I think you can have a 48 hour trial for £2 So it would be worth giving it a go at the weekend

Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
I've used StarStreams for the last 18mths.
£50 for 6months but can use on 3 separate IP's so I share account with dad & brother.
Never had any issues with streams.
Only problem is that they do restrict the number of subscriptions and not taking orders right now

Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
I used Sportsmania on Saturday and got a free two week pass with the code spoilingcustomers. It was perfect qaulity. Use a VPN though.

Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
ACE basically re-sell flawless streams .
Been using ACE for a couple of weeks because of the issues with sports mania and not had any problems .
I do think the sport on demand section is better on sportsmania and SM also appear to have more live saturday games . It is however still a very good option imo

Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
SM are not currently taking new subscribers, the existing ones are on week to week free codes whilst they sort out their payment system.holdyourfire wrote:What do SM want for twelve mnths,or do they still do 6mth deals.
It was £50 for the year, but also factor in a VPN at around £40 per year or your ISP will throttle your speed.
Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
When I tried sportsmania on Saturday the links didn't work at all with a UK connection so a VPN is pretty much essential.

Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
The need for a VPN depends on which ISP you're with. For example, my sister is with Plusnet and needs a VPN, I'm with SSE and have never needed one. This is because not all ISPs are affected by the Premier League court order.aggi wrote:When I tried sportsmania on Saturday the links didn't work at all with a UK connection so a VPN is pretty much essential.
Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
I was using a UK VPN so it wasn't the ISP blocking it. I assume they're geoblocked to try and avoid the attention of UK ISPs.Sonic wrote:The need for a VPN depends on which ISP you're with. Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
So the options seem to be -
Sportsmania - now seem to need to buy a VPN plus subscription. Currently not responding to tech support requests and new subscribers existing on vouchers. Works well for some Kodi set-ups but varies a lot, not really working on browser or IOS
Star Stream - good but not accepting subscriptions
Flawless - looks like Kodi only
Ace TV - £2 trial to see if it works for you. Not sure what platforms are supported, quality not as good as Sportsmania
Is that a fair summary?

Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
On the Sportsmania forum they offer links to cracked premium versions of popular VPNs such as CyberGhost and Betternet, which don't require a subscription (for as long as they work). I'm currently using the Betternet one and its brilliant, had no issues watching any games over the past couple of weeks with the VPN set to Netherlands.SalisburyClaret wrote:So the options seem to be -

Flawless isn't just kodi, it can be integrated into an android App called Perfect Player, which is then pretty much a TV guide of all the channels and it seems to work well. The video quality doesn't seem as good as sportsmania though. For sport pack its £52 a year through Paypal, or the full entertainment pack (pretty much full Sky package plus american sports channels showing all premier league games) for £75 for the year I think. Holding out before comiting to Flawless to see what happens with Sportsmania

Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
For anyone still struggling with sportsmania particularly on firestick even with a VPN (as I have been for past few weeks) try watching SM with your VPN on your laptop or desktop pc. Tried this today and it's a flawless stream!
Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
Worked fine today with VPN on my android box. This was after weeks of trying on my firestick using a VPN but then realising they don't work on firesticks.
Re: O/T sportsmania alternative
There is a new Amazon Fire TV 4k model, with Alexa coming out on 25 October. £69. Bargain!

Also, it works before your current subscription expires.
I've now got the best part of five weeks free on my account.

Can anyone recommend a vpn? I can watch all sports channels until it’s match time. I use firestick but have now put Kodi on the laptop.

I use overplay, its about £7.00 a month, you can download thier application onto your laptop, really easy to set up and use. My speed only drops from 38mgb/s to 37mgb/s usindg a london server, all games stream perfectly on the tsn links, and to day on the bt link

Also see "Bitcoin" thread, especially my posts. I got really cheesed off and packed it in.
The reasons are given on that thread - it was a bloody nightmare and quite intrusive.
