Post by Claretmatt4 » Sun Oct 01, 2017 10:28 pm

About to start on BBC 1. Not sure in running order but would expect us to be last.

Considering a 0-1 started last nights show I'd be disappointed if the only 0-1 of today's games wasn't first up

I always forget to record MOTD2... yet record the highlights on Sky Sports at 3.30 in the bloody morning.

Hadn't seen the goal before now. If that had been Arsenal or Man City i would have liked it but one dimension Burnley? Why can't we swear on here? Because that was ******* ******* superb

Anyone else bursting with pride at the way they're marking out Tarks for his performance?

They singled Tarkowski out for praise about 3 weeks ago too.

Our back five is immense. Also considering how well Cork and Defour played today they didn't even get a mention, just shows what a complete performance it was

I say ex Blackburn. He picked up a wage for a month or two!

To be fair, Shearer often describes us as "absolutely superb" on MOTD.

Very good to hear the comments tonight. Defensively perfect is something to put on the wall!

Tarkowski must have grown again after that. 6 ft 5 now! 7 ft by season end!

Made a point about featuring him a short time ago and then said they had to do him again!

This is what they did with £50m Van Dijk. Tarkowski the outstanding defender in the prem at the moment....hang on, there's Ben Mee too...ih and Steven Ward...and wet Matt Lowton.. not to mention Pope!

Blimey we have a defence envied by all!

Please no England call ups. As good as Tarkowski has been let's keep things in perspective. He has made seven PL starts. When he has faced every team twice is when his international potential should be assessed.

The start to our outstanding goal was Steven Defour bringing the ball out with great purpose, something which I mentioned on here last week that he should be given licence to do regularly throughout a game.
Obviously Steven read my comment and took everything on board.
Therefore, I take 100% credit for our goal.

The major player who isn't being mentioned. The first name on the sheet, for me.

One of my Leeds supporting mates:
They showed the entire build up in the highlights. After I while I was already going "fair f**king play"
"You knew what was coming"

That's a Leeds fan who is holding his hands up and saying "fair play - Burnley deserve it".

I can see him being called up for England, to tie him down, as Poland are rumoured to be watching him.

It was on Sky Sports about 3.30am. I purposely cancelled MOTD2 because every time I record it we lose.

Strange what we do in a superstition sense. Whenever I wore my shirt last season (was the 11/12 shirt) we lost, so stopped wearing it and bought the new one. Always wear my Burnley hat on match day walking the dogs first thing and, touch wood; my new shirt. Has worked so far this season. Must be something in it as the only time we have been beaten this season, I forgot to wear my lucky hat! There I said it, our success is entirely down to my attire and you not recording MOTD

Ha ha. I think if we all did the right thing, we'd win 38 games on the bounce.
