Surprised he got the job to be honest, though he kept them up.

Location wise its certainly attractive to Sean, but they have zero patience and because they had that amazing season, they might have a serious issue with what is possible with what they have.

Just how many are going to go this season - the churn is incredible - There has already been talk of
Koeman
Billic
Conte

plus questioning of Hughes, Klopp and Wenger by their own club's fans (even Brighton fans have been at it). Add to that Rafa feeling let down by Ashley, Howe having a free pass at Bournemouth.

I would still question whether Clement has it in him to survive a full season

Be shocked if Dyche left at this stage to a club currently in a bottom 3.

Hard to have much sympathy for Shakespeare after he stuck the knife into Ranieri.

They gave him a 3-year deal in the summer just gone so that will cost them. (Obviously he'll want his pound of flesh).

I think it'll be hugely attractive for Dyche. Let's not forget when they won the league only a couple of years ago, they were praised highly for their workman-like approach to games. They would often sit deep and defend as if their lives depended on it before launching counter attacks.
Sure, there are the odd couple of prima donas but for the most part they are nuts and bolts type players, who do their own jobs for the team and allowing the likes of Mahrez to do what he does (or did, as this season is proving!)

I thought Leicester had a poor transfer window over the summer and their squad has lots of skilled individuals who play for themselves rather than the team. Always going to be a tough act to follow Ranieri's heroic one off success for anyone

This is the club I was worried about in relation to Dyche leaving. Albeit in the summer, not this soon. He may very well be off

When he replaced Ranieri there was a sudden increase in the energy of the players. I've seen their games on TV and they look OK so I think this is a poor decision by the Leicester board. They play Swansea away and Everton at home in the next two games - both winnable I would have thought.

Sean Dyche and his Family live in Northampton so obviously not the only reason for him to be interested but it must play a part.

As well as the big budget and his wages of course

Keep an eye on Rob Dorsett from Sky, he knows what's going on at Leicester. He reckons Allardyce & Coleman will be main targets but has dismissed a return for Nigel Pearson. What I didn't know is that the job Pearson has recently landed in Belgium is at a club owned by King Power.

Yeah, there was an interview with Pearson on one of last weekend’s football preview programmes. He was his usual odious, prickly self.

When people say, 'but which clubs would actually come in for Dyche?'

I would say Leicester would be one of them. In this instance, can't help but wonder whether they have someone in the pipeline. I'm sure Allardyce would be back in the game if the right contract came in - just don't think he could be arsed with Palace.

Could be ideal for Coleman, but it would be a gamble, a bigger gamble than Dyche I think.

The Leicester Board are laughable. Sacked Ranieri after he achieved the impossible with them and now they've sacked last seasons saviour after 8 games of a new season. I'd like to think Dyche has more common sense than to leave our stable club for that kind of environment.

Say what you want about the Leicester board, they got it bang on last season sacking Ranerie and most likely sacking Shakespeare this time.
Shakespeare has had his chance and the Leicester side is far to good to be in the bottom 3.

Don't forget his 6 games to turn them round.

Never liked Shakespeare, because of the Ranieri situation, but even so that is a strange decision.
There are plenty of available managers, but I'd be amazed if SD were interested in going there at this point in time.

He was my prediction for the first managerial casualty of the season. Funnily enough I watched him being interviewed on Soccer AM and he came across very well. Always going to be a Club that expects more after the Tinkerman's brilliant season.

I also predicted him to be the first manager sacked in this PL season. Shame Palace couldn't be a bit more patient as it's not often that I'm right :D

Wonder if the players wanted him out?

Mahrez looks like he cba again and wanted out in the summer.
Selling Drinkwater and not registering his replacement in time hasn't helped either.

Dyche wouldn't stand for the same aggro from the players.

They must have already approached someone and/or be pretty sure the candidate will say 'yes'.

As has been stated no pressing need to make this decision. They're not in a great place but have had a tough start. A couple of games coming up where they could/should get points and they would be around about where you would expect them to be.

Koeman and Bilic constantly under threat, Rafa's position at Newcastle uncertain. They must be thinking that if one or more of those jobs came up it might be a more attractive proposition for their chosen target so they feel they need to act now. Which might suggest they are aiming high.

Would be very surprised if they are after/could attract a current manager at a PL club - especially if they haven't already got an almost guaranteed indication that it's a done deal - would be both costly and time consuming.
