Re: Jaap Stam
Manager leaves for another PL team in North West, Burnley go for a failing championship manager.
Story like that would never happen.

Re: Jaap Stam
It's all tits up at Reading - did a brilliant job last season in difficult circumstances but they are having a tough time this time around.
I'm not touting him for any job at Burnley though, far from it.

Re: Jaap Stam
I read we'd target David Moyes if Dyche left.
Re: Jaap Stam
Moyes please no. Depressing thought.

Re: Jaap Stam
Loose to Forest tonight and he's sacked .Another ex Man U player who flopped at management
Re: Jaap Stam
10 injured players at Reading. Some long term. Difficult for anyone to succeed with half the squad out.

Laws wasn't a failing Championship manager, he was managing a failing Championship club that had no finances to work with and kept them in the Championship in a similar fashion to how Cotterill kept Burnley afloat. The key difference being that our board didn't panic by firing Cotterill. (But then maybe it would have been different had Cotterill's 55 winless game streak come after a worse start to that season that meant we were effectively safe already.)
