I'm not on Twitter but someone kindly sent me an extract, because they know my thoughts on Gray, and I have reproduced it on here.
It would be interesting to read the whole thing.
Well, I think it's Twitter.

Will Gray get better if he's mainly used from the bench?
Doubt it, but until he's played regularly then they'll have to accept it.

'...Tom Cleverley is Watford's third choice penalty-taker, confirmed Marco Silva, but the first two were not on the pitch leaving him with the responsibility at Everton...'
Does that mean that Andre is 4th choice penalty taker for Watford?

He had a pretty decent game for them though judging by the highlights.

Poor Andre.
He must have his cupped ears goal celebration practised to a tee by now.

Andre was decent at penalties. He'd just walk up to the ball, attempt to control it and boom, back of the net.

Looked like he had a good game to me.
Made first goal
Back heel for penalty at end
Commentator mentioned in one run when he beat defender that Gray was causing the defence lots of problems.
He scored lots of goals for Burnley, played a massive part in our promotion, an important part in our survival and we sold him for twice as much as we bought him. Aye - he was a disastrous signing.
You can go on about his first touch for ever - his last touch was probably more relevant....just before scoring or assisting.
Have a look around the Premier League and Championship for strikers who cost between £9m and say £15m in the last couple of years and you will find few who did as well as Gray did for us.
PS - I hope he's c-rap for Watford

I have no complaints about Gray and his time with us.
Reads to me like Watford have has many Clueless gimps as we have

So are you saying that his control was decent? He did well for us in the championship especially but there’s no denying that his first touch is awful.

He did great in the Championship his horrible touch would send the ball beyond defenders but he had the pace to get to it first Prem defenders are generally wiser and faster its not really working for him at top level.

We probably bang on about his touch a bit too much. His job for us was scoring, which he did loads of. Having a magical first touch is great, but we didn't sign David Silva, we got someone to run in behind Championship defences and leather it.
Maybe Watford expect more, they paid even more and as a Prem club too. But that's their problem, Andre was vital for us and did exactly what we paid him to do.

Not bothered when he went. He lost momentum with the tweeting ban, and with the exception of the fish in a barrel match against Sunderland, didn’t look up to it after that. His first touch was comical at this level and despite all the stats about his pace he often looked as if he was running backwards against EPL defenders. No hard feelings however. He got us promoted, helped to keep us up (sort of) and we made a tidy profit on him. From his point of view he is earning more money and is closer to London.... so it worked out well for everyone

He's quick and a deadly finisher, but wood has a better all round game. He's one of those players that will delight you one week and have your head in your hands the next. I think all in all we did well losing him and gaining wood, plus a bit of pocket money. But I've no doubt there'll be a week or two when you go on Twitter and Watford fans will be raving about an Andre Gray performance.

He should never have been anywhere near if Vokes was on the pitch, but Gray was eager to take them.
4th choice,

so it's just open play then.
