Sprouts,yes, no or maybe ?
Sprouts,yes, no or maybe ?
A sprout is for life not just for Christmas; so it's a yes from me. Cooked in salted water then finished in a pan with butter and the cut up bacon you have sealed your turkey with. If this doesn't get the duvet inflated nothing will.

It's funny because I like every cabbage known to man, but sprouts.
Re: Sprouts, yes, no or maybe ?
I'm sure that the correct answer is either 'stop talking the traditional English Christmas dinner down', or 'no, we voted brexit, get over it' but actually sprouts dont come from Brussels. They do come from Europe though, but taste gross regardless.
Peas, potatoes, onions, parsnips, beans and peppers for me. And apple sauce.

Re: Sprouts, yes, no or maybe ?
Get rid of the onions, beans and peppers. Add roasted carrots to the roasted parsnips and potatoes and, most importantly, substitute cranberry sauce for apple sauce. This is quite a faux pas on your part. Apple sauce goes with roast pork. I've never heard of anyone having it with turkey.timshorts wrote:I'm sure that the correct answer is either 'stop talking the traditional English Christmas dinner down', or 'no, we voted brexit, get over it' but actually sprouts dont come from Brussels. 100% love em, preferred the old fashioned bitter ones, but even the new sweeter ones are grand
Re: Sprouts, yes, no or maybe ?
Well I like apple sauce with chicken, pheasant, capon, pork and particular''ly with peas. I'm not one to think that what I'm told to think is right. Chips go with onions or hot chilli sauce. My shepherds pie is with pork mince and cheese in the potato. And I support Burnley.dermotdermot wrote:Get rid of the onions, beans and peppers. Each to his own. About the apple sauce I mean. Just give the cranberry sauce a go. Especially with a pheasant.
