There are only single seats left in lower 2 tiers, and in upper tiers there are a small number of tickets left in the corners. Less than a thousand in all.

It took nearly an hour to get on a tram for our last game so looking at other options.
I think the fanzone is home fans only but I never use it to be honest. Most people tend to drink in town. Note that it takes a while to get into ground as everyone gets searched: there are queues now at all turnstiles including the away end.
Options for travel are: 20 minute brisk walk from City Centre
Plenty of Taxis in town: usual places outside Hotels, train stations

Bus: 216. 'Etihad Stadium' from Piccadilly Bus Station. I have a bus pas so I don't know how much it is. About £1.50 I guess. About every 5-10 mins and takes about 15 mins. Lots of buses back to town after the game, but by they time you queue and then wait in traffic it's quicker walking.

Apparently only just over 4k tickets sold so far.

Obviously more will be shifted before we play, but it's the least appealing game of the 5 festive fixtures.

Just bought tickets at £10 each despite not having a season ticket as well as before they are on general sale.

They went on general sale this morning at 9.15.

I need to go down tomorrow and get another 6 which will make our group upto 30.

Looks like we could take over the city centre like a European away day.

A friend has just gone online to try purchase some and the only away game that is showing is Crystal Palace.

As much as I’d like it to be the case, I can’t see it as being sold out just yet

Man City Cup

Post by joburg_claret » Wed Dec 27, 2017 9:12 pm

No matter what happens an opportunity for thousands of us to really show our appreciation to Sean and the players and to show Man City how proud we are to be Clarets. Think this could be one of those special away games for atmosphere, even if we lose.
Can’t wait, love it when we take a huge following. Preston away seems like the last one.

Will easily sell the 7.6k, as ever on these occasions.

Not been on general sale. A rare opportunity for non season ticket holders to access plenty of cheap tickets. As others have said also a great opportunity to show appreciation to SD & the team

I’m seeing reports that we could have sold close to 6,000 for the game? If that’s true then it’s an amazing figure. Maybe we’ll sell out after all?

Got mine they arrived this morning 3rd tier; but I guess should just be happy getting a ticket at all being a regular but non season ticket holder and as such have had to live on the dregs of away matches people didn't want tickets for. £35 for 4 tickets which included concessions is an absolute bargain.

Picked ours up today also had to pay 15 instead of 10 even though season ticket holder!!! Never saw anything of price increase. Never mind it is jnr MBIC first away day at 6. We also in top tier row PP. Does that mean tier 1 and 2 are sold out?

Correct - as per my comment two posts up that the £10 was only in the priority period. I don't believe that information was made available initially.

More excellent communication from the club. Would be more useful if they put stuff like this on official Twitter page instead of droning on about meaningless crap such as #proudsville.

Poor from the club. I have waited to get another batch of tickets for our big group attending and collected £10 for their tickets.

Now I haven't got enough money off them and some may cancel as they were only going for such a decent price.

Stupidity at it's best as we only get a third of gate receipts anyway, so the extra amount for the club could be as little as 2k quid.

Do the maths how you wish....
I'm a season ticket holder I paid 15 quid
My father in law season ticket holder 15 quid
Mrs MBIC who isn't a season ticket holder 15
6 year old lad fiver I think? it was 50 quid in total.

Strangely all tickets say £10, I get that they will have been pre printed.

Yes my 2 tickets both have £10 printed on them.

Seems a bit naughty of the club to increase the price by 50% without prior warning, I thought I'd just missed that info but according to CT they've only made it known today.

It's just a ball ache more than owt.

If we sold tickets for 15 quid that had 10 printed on we could get done.
The club could be breaking rules here?

At those prices it would be rude not to. In 20 years people will say were you at City when we took the town, and beat the runaway leaders, "that" Pep side.
