With £3.5m per year, he could buy our house and move up here, permanently.

And, he'd still have £3.25m left from his first year's wages

Please no helicopters. We don't want a stand naming after for many years. Stick to the range rover

If it works for them that's what matters.

I would imagine their are plenty of reasons for keeping family and work separate in that situation. It keeps the family away from the area if things start to go wrong, children in a settled education building lifelong friendships rather than moving around, wife and children close to their extended family etc.

.......
I am not knocking the situation...just curious how it worked...I seem to remember that someone said he takes training on a thursday and wondered if he perhaps had sunday to wednesday down south.

Doesn't Mourinho still live in a Manchester hotel?

Jose never stays anywhere long enough for it to be worth him doing anything else.

I think it was last year (possibly year before) when Dyche got himself an apartment in Whalley to reduce the amount of commuting he does.

Don't know how many times a week he stops there but in the story he was telling at the training ground open day last year he was talking about going to a bar in Whalley for one pint at 7pm one Thursday after a very long day of press conferences where he had been in work since 7am.....he was saying this in the context of someone in the bar (which was empty) was trying to video him and how this could get in the media and tell a completely different story to what actually happened - and what happened he said was that he had one pint and was then tucked up in bed in his flat for 9pm !!

Dyche and Woan do indeed stay in an apartment in Whalley, have done for a few years (think BFC own it).

A young waiter in the Aspinall Arms, Mitton, told me Dyche often popped in for a steak and a quiet drink (this was a few months ago mind you). He said Dyche was a true gent and a lovely, down to earth bloke.

He already has one. I saw him at the end of the Palace game last season. He was a man mountain and was patiently waiting for SD, standing guard by a big black Range Rover, as he signed autographs after our first away win of the season....before driving him away.

I know more people than not that work away and stay over more days a week than Dyche will. And it wont be in the comfort of their own flat and with the financial rewards Dyche has.

Tbh I think he will love the fact he gets paid to stay away froom the wife 3 nights a week.
