Knee injuries

With Wood out with a knee injury, has anyone considered telling these idiots to stop sliding on their knees when they score!

I think you might recall it happened in a collision with Hugo Lloris

What is the prognosis, Tony? Is he out for the season? Regards Ward too (not a criticism of the club), I haven`t heard a bean.

He was close to a return about five weeks ago,so it can't be long now before he's playing again.

No idea - he did it on 23rd Dec and Dyche said he was to be assessed. He then said he was touch and go for Huddersfield although I suspect, being the Christmas period, that comment could have been made prior to the Man U game. Nothing been said since other than before games when we are told he's still out injured.

Some clubs give out lots of details on injuries and some clubs don't. We don't. The only updates come from the manager in pre-match conferences but never with any detail.

The more worrying one for me is Ward.
He was stood in front of their keeper, for a corner, there was zero contact and he's been out since.
Taylor has been OK but he's not yet at Wards level.

Weird injuries are knee injuries - I play 5 a side and 2 lads have ended up out for a long time with what seemed like a "get up you wimp" type injuries.

1 lad jarred his knee making a save which ballooned up and he ended up on crutches for 2/3 months and had to have an op on it about 6/7 months later. He's still iffy on it now about 10 months down the line.

2nd lad twisted his knee a bit whilst running/stopping and he's been out for about 6 months. Just started coming back and is still a bit wary of it going.

Both at soccer Burnley so could be something to do with the surfaces that are played on now not having as much "give" under foot.

With Wood out for this long and having a million times better support and guidance then I'm thinking he should/coukd be back within next few weeks.
