Boring Boring Burnley
How much longer do we have to put up with this long ball football. We parked the bus against Swansea you would of thought we was playing Real Madrid. Does Dyche not understand that hoofball for 90 mins isnt working.
I never thought id say this with us sitting 7th in the Premierleague but its boring and painful to watch. It bores the life of me watching us chase the ball all game.
I would seriously say this is as bad of a run as the 19 game without a win one with Cotterill.
Id much prefer us to have a go and get beat than defend from the first whistle. I much prefered watching us under Eddie Howe. Entertaining games lots of goals.
Maybe Sean has took us as far as he can because lets face it he is never going to change the way we play. And playing like this we will never get higher than 7th.
Its a poor do when you dont enjoy watching your football team play and they are in the highest league position they have been in since you was born.
Probably wont re-new. Its simple Sean either try and play FOOTBALL or take your negative boring hoofball football elsewhere.

We'll probably never get higher than 7th whoever we appoint mate, be careful what you wish for.

Re: Boring Boring Burnley
‘Never get higher than 7th’- before Sean Dyche came here it didn’t look like we’d ever get higher than 10th in the Championship. I wonder whether you were moaning like this after we drew with Manchester City, or when we beat Chelsea.
Other fans must find it hilarious when some of our lot start talking about Dyche leaving. Ridiculous, some fans need to get a grip.

Re: Boring Boring Burnley
Well they aren't in the highest league position that I have seen them in, however, their performance as a team is amongst the best I have ever seen from the Clarets. It is such a shame that the team performance is unappreciated by many fans.
All the hype around football these days try to make us believe it is the best that it has ever been. If that is the case why is there almost 1 goal per game less scored than there was in the 1960s? If you want to see goals scored get some old recordings of the 1960s First Division games --particularly around Christmas time.
However, having said that, there is more to football than just scoring goals.

Re: Boring Boring Burnley
You do know that Defour, Brady, Wood and Tarkowski are injured yeah ? I mean, like, the quality spine of our team has been ripped out. And you do realise that 5 years ago, when Dyche was appointed, it would have been completely beyond our wildest dreams to be in this position.
The current run is frustrating and not a little depressing but the OP deserves some kind of medal for lack of understanding of context.

When I were a lad there used to be fishing matches on Sunday afternoon - down by the canal on the Barden Lane section. Nowadays we have the internet. No need for keepnets and maggots.

In line for the best finish in a generation. The most boring football in a long time but I’d take league position over style of win every day of the week.

They can't complain because they have been entertained and seen 5 goals, even though their team didn't muster one shot on target in the second half ===still 5 goals to be entertained with, that will be a nice trip back homeBin Ont Turf wrote:Yes but it must have been very entertaining for them Bournemouth fans who have to do a 500 odd mile round trip.

I'm baffled by that statement. If you think the football is too boring to tolerate, then fine. But 5 of the 10 games without a win have been against teams in the top 6.

Re: Boring Boring Burnley
Pathetic fishing attempt.
In this run that is 'as bad of a run as the 19 game without a win one with Cotterill' we have deservedly taken a point from arguably the best team the Premier league has ever seen, taken a point at Old Trafford scoring 40% of the goals Man Utd have conceded there all season, and collected three more decent away draws.
You are really, honestly comparing this run where we've also played Spurs, Liverpool, City again versus 19 games against the likes of Luton, Southend and Colchester then you clearly need to borrow my username.
