Never seen this footage before and just started watching it. My old friend Brian Lucas has just appeared too. Sat next to him for years on the Turf until he was sadly too ill to attend.

Just been having a look myself. Someone appears to have uploaded loads of stuff from the 91-94 era. 'BFC2017' on YouTube.

There's even the goals from that infamous trip to Cardiff, never seen those since.. Plus all sorts of alternative footage, Northampton away, Walsall away.

I've not seen that footage for many years, but it was all on the highlights video from 1991-92 part 2.

I only had part 1 in my collection!

That Cardiff game was quite scary. I remember the Supporters' Club coach coming under attack, with stones and such like being thrown at the windows, and my mate was hit on the back by a stone once INSIDE the ground, as the Cardiff d1ckheads were throwing them from outside and onto the away end terracing.

The result was worth it though! :)

The further I went through, the more I realised I had seen it from the old season video. It was Pete Smith, who was involved then. He's now on SSN on match days.

Many of those grounds have been bulldozed now.

Mind you, some of them needed to be ;)

Great video. I especially liked an early 'through a car window' interview with Roger Eli.

We must have been on the same coach! I was with my friends Adrian Beck and Julian Booth as well as my sister, Suzanne. I think the driver not only took the wrong turning off the motorway/bypass, but we were running a wee bit late and just happened to be going past some of the pubs as the Leek suckers were coming out. It was NOT pleasant. When Randall scored, it was great then quite a few of us were thinking `that`ll do...we don`t need another one to get the knuckle draaggers really wound up`. Conroy doesn`t listen to us, pops the second one in and half the home support makes it way out of the ground and right behind us. Many a Burnley fan got some beer and chip money from the locals, others got cuts and lumps. We make our way onto the pitch. Does that stop `em? No! They try and enter the ground through the main stand. IT WAS NOT PLEASANT.

But, we won and the rest is history.

p.s. Walker was a REAL keeper!!!!

p.p.s. Adrian Randall - the football equivalent of Rudolph Nureyev. Such grace!

Yes, I remember it well!

I can recall a Police officer, telling me that the kind of behaviour we were experiencing form the locals was considered normal in Cardiff!

Great days! ;)

Yes, Walker was excellent for us. I think he went on to be capped for Scotland, which was a still an achievement in those days!

Heaton is probably the only one I've seen better since, between the sticks for us.

Walker seemed to have the ability to hang in the air when he jumped to
take a cross into the box. He could get up higher than any keeper I've seen
and his handling was faultless. Good shot stopper, too.

I recall wishing we could get him permanently.

We actually went up a place. We leapfrogged Blackpool on goal difference because they had beaten Aldershot by more goals than us

Would you rather have signed Swing Low, Sweet Marriot or Nicky Walker?

There is Mr Beck at 4mins40secs as always biting his fingers.

Walker any day of the week.

They must have had a bloody good keeper at Hearts to
let him go out on loan.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone recall that poster of the title winning squad all in cartoon caricature form?

I must've had it on my bedroom wall for about five years after!

I've got a poster of the 90-91 team from either Shoot or Match magazine. John Deary and Winston White signed it for me when they were p***ed up at a do in Accy, we were playing footy outside.

If the house was on fire, I'd go back in for that before the kids.

The labels were done by my dad on that. No idea who Ian Walsh was, and suspect none of us would have guessed that if we were trying.

My Everton-supporting mate at primary school gave me this next poster, which he'd cut out from his Shoot magazine. I was a Match boy personally, far superior publication.

Similar memories of that game. We went in the main stand and when we scored I thought to myself, how are we going to get out alive!!

Even before the game their fans were coming into away end rather than queuing for the home terrace and small fights were going off. From the main stand we could see them smashing the coaches up on the park across the road. Somehow got back to the car, in traffic my mate driving had his window down and a car pulled up alongside and spat in his face. In the traffic before the game I remember some lunatic hanging out of an xr3i window shouting English *******! Get the scarves ffs!!

I have a vague memory of one particular Burnley fan, who I believe could look after himself (possible amateur boxer), knocking a Cardiff thug out with one punch. It could be a figment of my imagination, but this line of chat has brought it back to me. If memory serves, the Burnley Muhammed Ali had shoulder-length black, permed hair.

I enjoyed that. Not sure if I'd ever seen it before. Spotted the late, great Pete Clare on the terraces, and Fred Fort, nowadays selling half-time draw tickets outside the Turf

Lived just outside Penrith then. Took a neighbour, Alan a glasgow Rangers fan, to the game. He couldn't believe the atmosphere, especially from a "low division" match. He said it matched the old firm derby in atmosphere but much funnier. I met up with some people I'd worked with in Burnley and had to translate for Alan, who said he couldn't understand a word they said, and he had a real Glawegion accent! Great night, bad result.

Bloody hell...thought he was dead for a minute. Yep, he liked the sauce. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.
