Great performance and conclusive proof that our best eleven does no include Jeff Hendrick, even after injuries.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Sticky Toffees
Outstanding performance and a well deserved 3 points. The double over Everton, a first win against BFS and the first time we’ve come from behind to win in the Prem. With Leeds getting beaten last night, what a f*cking great weekend!

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Sticky Toffees
YES!!!!!
Even when the game was at 1-1, I wanted to type `stuff all the small margins nonsense. A draw in this game feels good as we have played really well and had a positive outlook throughout. That is all EVERY fan expects. There will be no complaints.`
A win, of course, is even better and all we deserved. A brilliant performance! Positive, full of energy, great team play and we actually looked capable of winning. Who`d have thought that playing a right winger on the right, a leftie on the left, withdrawing an `ineffectual` player and replacing him with a striker would get a result??? Who`d have thought!!!????
Well done Burnley!
p.s. pre- player ratings thread 10 for Barnes...an incredible performance!

A fantastic win - about time.
All I will say on the matter is this:
Hendrick off - game changed.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Sticky Toffees
One of the most important decisions made this season was not letting Barnes go in the transfer window in September as was being speculated at the time. That bloke has been immense at crucial times in this season. Saying that though football moves fast and we need another striker in the summer. UTC

Seamus Coleman almost in tears during his interview on Sky !!
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Sticky Toffees
And BFS blames the defeat on all their missed chances and 2 goals that should have been dealt with - bitter old man. Although he had no complaints at the red card !
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Sticky Toffees
Sam allardyce is a blinkered fool... "Simple ball" for the first my arse...he brings up the winless streak we had, complacent personified. Said they should've been clear by half time and doesn't give his keeper credit for keeping them in it. At least he praised our ball play and agreed with the red card. Still..a blinkered assessment nonetheless, they deserved nothing from the game and got what they deserved, firstly through complacency and secondly through a lack of quality.

We won with 55% possession - I think that is a first for us in the Premier League good day for firsts
Re: Mighty Clarets versus Sticky Toffees
This. Dyche got the sub right today at the right time. It was a proactive decision that I didn't think he would make so hats off.jedi_master wrote:Great performance and conclusive proof that our best eleven does no include Jeff Hendrick, even after injuries.

Re: Mighty Clarets versus Sticky Toffees
So happy i really am . The team just had to keep what they were doing and it would all come around . As for the last 53 games without a win from coming from behind to win , well bin that one baby as the Clarets are back ...................
