On the official site it says for £50 you can have your birthday message displayed at least 8 times.Spijed wrote:I wonder if advertisers are told how many times their advert will be shown during the game.

We must have been losing that day - game still going on but leaving in droves from Jimmy Mac.......Wokingclaret wrote:Wow I remember that picture.
A few observations,
the stands line-up
Flood lights in each corner
Outside non roofed veranda on each stand
What were the curved buildings around the car park
A royal entrance to the North stand
It could have been called "New Turf Moor"

Was weird that night. I thought it was just me having problems and then got home to find a long thread about it on the message board. That’s the worst pitch side advertising I’ve ever come across.Foulthrow wrote:The worst experience I had was at Bolton a few years ago. You don't believe they are not allowed to show it? - That says you believe they are allowed to show it.
I do believe they aren't allowed to show it, or in other words I don't believe they are allowed to show it.
You confused? - I am. I'll check with Sir Humphrey Appleby.

The game timer can’t go past 45 mins in the first half and then 90 mins in the second half. You can display the the minimum amount of added minutes though.

I think, eventually, we'll have a total of 154 wheel chair positions.SirAlec wrote:so is that an extra 43 wheel chair positions? hard to tell on my little screen

Are we going to blow white smoke out of that massive chimney when we chose a new manager?

Still not convinced, that for all the new position in the corner stands you'd be able to see both goals. Hope they get the angles right!

Is there anything to take a picture of yet? Couldn't see anything in terms of breaking ground at last game.
They'll have to get a move on if the plan is ready for August.

Was there today. A few smallish foundation holes dug. It seemed to me a bit daft to be keeping the old police control box. Should have been included in new build.

Looking at the second floor plan the new control room is there, the old one will be demolished suspect end of seasonWhitgord wrote:Was there today. A few smallish foundation holes dug. It seemed to me a bit daft to be keeping the old police control box. Should have been included in new build.

Nothing to see - all preparatory work being done.Walt wrote:Is there anything to take a picture of yet? Couldn't see anything in terms of breaking ground at last game.

I don't think the corners have to be ready for August - we just have to have a number of disabled places available so they will still be able to use the existing ones as part of the numbers until such time as they are ready.

Don't know - the hold ups have not been down to the club, but I would think they would hope to have things in place as soon as possible next season.Jakubs Tash wrote:All being well, when is the work scheduled to be completed?

Looks like some sections of “wind breaks”/end panels on existing stands are to be cut back to allow whole of pitch to be visible from any wheelchair position.

Re: New corner stands for disabled fans - any updates?
It’s a bit tongue in cheek as planning application states no work has started yet. There is currently a very large hole where the new north east corner stand will be. In fact it will be interesting to see where the big screen lorry can go in two and a half weeks time for the Leicester game.

Re: New corner stands for disabled fans - any updates?
Glad to see new control room and announcer’s room is part of the new build. Wonder if the existing one can be left in place until end of season. It would appear that the north east corner is being tackled first.
Re: New corner stands for disabled fans - any updates?
How many Burnley fans are disabled that want to brave the cold and wind to be in a box with all attention on them? Has anyone actually bothered to find out?
They might prefer to be in a nice cosy pub, having a pint and watching the match on TV.

I don't think anyone is going to go round coralling wheelchair users and forcing them to the turf. Maybe under CotterillPstotto wrote:How many Burnley fans are disabled that want to brave the cold and wind to be in a box with all attention on them? Has anyone actually bothered to find out?
