Re: Nick Pope - England training video
Perhaps it's my claret tinted specs but Pope looks the most assured of the lot
,. The ball just seems to stick to him. Not sure who it was towards the end, either Hart or Butland but couldn't hold it in practice, bouncing off with simple shots UTC

Re: Nick Pope - England training video
Couldn’t help but notice Pickford and Pope weren’t around towards the end. Possibly taken away to work with the rest of the squad?? We know Pickford is starting, possible sub for Pope?

I notice that the coach is Martyn Margetson who, as it happens, is also the goalkeeping coach at Everton........

Re: Nick Pope - England training video
Agree. Drills like that have to be done but there is no warning in a game when an attempt on goal is going to happen. Concentration seems to be just as vital as reflexes. Underlines the significance of when a keeper makes a vital save in a game where he's had little or nothing to do.piston broke wrote:They are all amazing. What reflexes.

There's lots of love for Pope in the comments section, and they aren't all Burnley fans.

1 Pickford
13 Hart
22 Butland
23 Pope

Wasn't David Beckham 23 somewhere?
Good video. Being objective, I thought Hart was adrift of the other 3.
Pope looked immaculate. Pickford sound. Butland a tad behind.

Butland to start against Italy. Hopefully Pope might get a go in the second half.
