I've just made a cracking smoothie. Strawberries, Apple, Kale, Spinach, Banana, Milk - I only had to go to my kitchen.

Blend those 2 bad boys up, and you've basically had the vitamin A and C that you need for the day.
It's more about it being a nice shortcut, than any hype :D

I think he's quite comfortable as Nigella (standby for a sh*t storm because it's not funny and I am simply homophobic) .

I like his simple style of food and easy presentation.

Nigel Slater on how to make meals using leftovers that would normally get thrown away then proceeds to remove a 10 pound salmon from his fridge.

If pan-fried wildebeast bollock served on a bed of toasted hippo dung, with a dollop of mashed natterjack toad was actually better than fish and chips, then that's what theyd be dishing up in the market cafe in Nelson.

But it's not...so they don't.

Fine dining? Masterchef ?......... Emporer's new clothes......utter pish lobbed up for the increasing number of pretentious berks that can't see through it.

I don't mind Masterchef, but maybe I'm a pretentious berk who can't see through it.

My bane is all the property porn on TV. All done to make you feel like the place you like to call home is just another commodity to be traded away so you can step on another run of the ladder. By the time you reach the top, if indeed you do, you'll be too knackered from all the overtime you've worked to pay off the seemingly endless mortgages. You'll be too old to enjoy it, and before you know it, you'll have to sell it off to pay for your care needs in a rundown OAP home where they send you to die. Happy days!

They've only done what hoards of other "celebs" have done over the past few years. Come up with an idea which involves you getting a free, all expenses paid holiday to some exotic place(es) all over the world, sell the Beeb on the idea and actually get a big fat fee for it into the bargain. As said, brilliant work if you can get it and even better when you realise in many cases we're the ones paying via our license fee. It's not just chefs it's loads of them from comedians to musicians. It's become a bloody joke.
