The Cramps 'You've got good taste' and the Album 'Smell of Female.'

Could do with perhaps a bit better production but that might sanitize it and it would be ruined by digital re-mastering

Forgot about Spizz Oil / energy or whatever. Brickfield Nights was a catchy pop song though, loved it.

Eddie and the Hot Rods got a couple of mentions for this one on the first page and it's a well worth a listen..great lyrics..

'DO ANYTHING YOU WANNA DO' [1977]

Gonna break out of the city
Leave the people here behind
Searching for adventure
It's the type of life to find
Tired of doing day jobs
With no thanks for what I do
I'm sure I must be someone
Now I'm gonna find out who
Why don't you ask them what they expect from you?
Why don't you tell them what you are gonna do?
You'll get so lonely, maybe it's better that way
It ain't you only, you got something to say
Do anything you wanna do
Do anything you wanna do
Don't need no politicians to tell me things I shouldn't be
Neither no opticians to tell me what I oughta see
No one tells you nothing even when you know they know
But they tell you what you should do
They don't like to see you grow
Why don't you ask them what they expect from you?
Why don't…

*** late one Friday afternoon in the early 80's, was reading Time Out magazine with my partner, wondering what to do that night - saw that this lot were on at The Cricketer's pub in Vauxhall next to The Oval..we dashed down there, got in, it was mobbed - what a great show, proper pub rock.

Love heavy metal but never really got into punk. The best were very good, too many were average and carried along on the wave.
That said there's been some top tracks listed even though I wouldn't call them all punk.
So I'll go borderline will PiL and Rise.

Just posted Boredom without realising you had already done it. Loved listening to your choices and many more like them with your brother and mates at school, happy days.
