I cannot make my mind up when I see him as to whether he is playing some sort of pantomime villain or is really just a nasty get. But either way this all makes our rise to prominence even better, which is quite an achievement in itself.

On MOTD 2 now.
Mark Chapman asked him if Stoke would go for Pulis again.
He replied "well, it's irrelevant what I think......"
Well, what are you doing on a football show then, you div?

The guy is a grade A Bell end. Isn't it time someone in the media, looked back at what he said in December, and challenged him on it? Then turn round and tell him that if he can't back up his comment with anything more insightful than " you just see", tell him to do one! He's like a six year old in the playground. Absolute tool.
Re: Chris Sutton
Check out his bellendary on you tube - what an aggressive thick arrogant t-wat he is.
One day he will get chinned by someone - plus his attempt at being controversial to get himself more media work is backfiring as he has become a pantomime pr-ick (i’ve invented that phrase but it will be in the Collins English dictionary by the end of the year....followed by an example definition “e.g. Christopher “belmtard” Sutton)

Can one of you with Twitter not challenge him on it? Plus retweet it on the BT sport twitter account. I don't use Twitter so dont know how it works but surely his original comments can be highlighted now as far and wide as possible to shame himClaretitus wrote:The guy is a grade A Bell end. Maybe also send to Shearer, saying respect to him for having the balls to praise us where praise is due, unlike the other half of 'SAS'

They were having a poll on BT Sport for manager of the year and Dyche was winning it. Sutton scoffed at the idea but was put in his place by Dean Saunders. He then said about us getting into Europe: "“Imagine teams around Europe, the disappointment of being drawn against Burnley."claptrappers_union wrote:Can someone actually post what he has said or even share a link?! Some on here are far too sensitive about what pundits say or don't say. But in the case of Chris Sutton he's a self-centred, egotistical, narcissistic, arrogant, odious and obnoxious w****r.

Re: Chris Sutton
States Dyche has done a fantastic job twice but thinks Gaurdiola should get manager of the year. Considering that City have dominated the Premier League like no other team has done before hardly makes it that controversial an opinion
As for his remark about teams being disappointed with drawing Burnley well he's just on a bit of a wind up as an ex b*stard. In anycase quite a few Burnley fans on here have stated how unfortunate we'd be to get a crappy draw against a Welsh or Irish team so not sure what the difference is between him and those Burnley fans of ours.
That said he is a total knob but like the talk sport team (inc our Joey) that is their jobs and getting you lot annoyed and talking about it shows it works a treat

Re: Chris Sutton
Don't have a problem with anyone arguing Guardiola deserves to be manager of the year. In some respects it is a compliment to us as a club and our players as it suggests it's not all down to Dyche being a genius. I can understand the argument that the way City have dominated the league warrants the award (he's got vast resources, yes, but he's used them well and they're not so out of kilter with those Chelsea and United in particular have spent).
Sutton goes well beyond that though. Might be a bit fortunate for him that he's strayed over the line from being negative about Burnley as a football team to being downright disrespectful about the town whilst working for a commercial station, rather than the BBC (his other employer), because its way off side. In fairness, he was called out for it immediately so its probably worked out well for us and badly for him because he's lost of a little bit of his credibility with the average neutral there.

Re: Chris Sutton
No issue with him arguing Guardiola over Dyche.
No real issue over his fading away comments if he'd actually been arsed to back them up (not enough strength in depth etc). He'd still have been wrong obviously but saying "just wait and see" then being wrong makes him look like a complete *******.

Re: Chris Sutton
He’s been very critical of Burnley on numerous occasions and a number of comments have been way out of order. Can’t imagine why any Burnley fan should think anything he says could be brilliant. Once or twice I can take with a pinch of salt. It’s been far too often now.claptrappers_union wrote:Seen the clip... why do people get so angry? Re: Chris Sutton
I think it’s brilliant because it doesn’t matter. I think it’s more brilliant that it’s coming from a former Rovers player, who to be fair didn’t even compete against Burnley during his time there but still carries the rivalry with him into his media career.
Good on him, I say. Still a prick mind.

It was well known they didn't get on off the field of play.scouseclaret wrote:Pretty sure Shearer also thought Sutton was a total bell-end, even during the SAS days.
Pretty sure nothing has changed between 'em.
To be fair,we were 4th when he uttered those words,Did anybody else just see his comments about us on BT sport just now?
"They won't keep it up"
Presenter "based on what?"
CS "based on the fact they will fall away just wait and see"
Grade A Pillock.
We then went 11 games without a win and fell away to 7th.

Actually I think I'm thinking of Merson who said something very similar on sky sports not long after.Dazzler wrote:To be fair,we were 4th when he uttered those words,
