Re: MOTD
I`m thrilled just to be able to watch Burnley games on t`internet and seeing us win on Match of the Day (especially if Danny Murphy is in the studio) is an extra lump of sugar to the joyous brew, but I must say I thought the coverage of this particular game/related issues, was poor fayre.

Re: MOTD
I think on the whole MOTD have changed their attitude towards us this season. I think there remains an element of shock that we have maintained our levels, and even a little disbelief that we've smashed our way not only into the "best of the rest" but are clearly this season heading that group of long established Premier League clubs. Think on the whole Alan Shearer has surprised me with just how pleased he seems to be to see us up there.

Re: MOTD
Have to feel for Saints. Alonso stays on and then has a hand in all 3 Chelsea goals. He was fouled for the third.

Re: MOTD
I think they are getting bored with us doing well ,there's not much for discussion after another solid win hardworking performance,we just get the job done without any of the all singing and dancing of the other clubs and it's not good for their show

Re: MOTD
I don't get the animosity towards Wright from some on here.
He had a very good carer as a player, coming late into big-time football to play a key role with Palace & Arsenal. He also had a short, but to some degree, influential role with us via his Stan connection.
There was a tv programme a year or so ago looking at him and how his career differed from/entangled with David Rocastle's. He came across as very grateful for what life had dealt him and down-to-earth in that.
He's not a great pundit but the media employ plenty who aren't any better and a fair few who are worse.
Programme is here if anybody is interested & hasn't seen it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2byZj3oz3U
I'd be happy never to see Lineker's mug again though.

Re: MOTD
No one is doubting his footballing ability and career, it is his post career attitude towards BFC. As far as I know we looked after him well and he didnt leave under a cloud, so it seems odd that whenever praise is due, and a LOT is at the moment, he rarely gives any. Meanwhile t'Rovers legend Shearer....LeadBelly wrote:I don't get the animosity towards Wright from some on here.

Keown...."if Burnley finish above Arsenal, SD for manager of the year."
Praise at last. From Wright as well.

Re: MOTD
He has spent substantial parts of the season touting SD for Arsenal manager - we know he loves Arse so must rate SD by any form of logicmartin_p wrote:Wright is even touting SD for manager of the year if we get into Europe.

Re: MOTD
Must have been an Ian Wright lookalike on MOTD2 tonight.
If Burnley get in to Europe then Sean Dyche is his manager of the season.

Re: MOTD
Didn't someone post a comment from the MOTD editorial team that they put on matches that mean something at the top and the bottom of the table first, as they are the ones that people want to see first?
Tot/ManC, Sou/Che, CP/Bri, Hud/Wat, Liv/Bou, Bur/Lei, Swa/Eve
We probably should have been on last to be honest with that criteria!

Apart from a couple of games in the early part of Dyche's tenure, I've backed him all the way.tim_noone wrote:Well it's only now at the eleventh hour everyone's warming to SD. KRBFC. Wasn't a fan either...he may have changed his mind. Dont mind...I get lost on my way to the Bedroom
I can understand some of the criticism of the style of football but I can understand why we played it.
And I think we're improving our style all the time.
