Jack Cork in interviews

I've noticed that our Jack in interviews always ends his sentences with 'so'.

So what?

I'll tell you what, I've started to finish his sentences for him.

I'll give you an example......

Stoke were probably the better team in the first half, but we grew into it and probably had the better of the second half, so.......

Used to work at the same place as a guy who said "tremendous" so much that he became known as "Tony Tremendous". The nickname always made me think of a 70s working men's club turn!

Lad I work with kept saying 'basically' during conversations.
During one of his phone conversations I sat next to him and marked a bit of paper everytime he said basically.
He could see me doing it, but still managed to say it about a dozen times in just one 15min phone call.

He's stopped saying it as much now

On last night's MOTD2 Kevin Kilbane said 'clearly' about five times in 20 seconds.

Shearer has a habit of saying 'And rightly so'. Once you've noticed these verbal ticks, it's impossible to listen to anything else they're saying. And rightly so.

So long as they deliver on the pitch they can spend the whole of an interview farting into the microphone as far as Im concerned. If they can space them out to leave room for questions, even better.

Amazing has to be the most over used word in the media these days. Everything seems to be amazing and it's amazing how many are so easily amazed.
