Squad travel

Post by groove » Tue May 08, 2018 5:27 pm

With a trip to Europe looming, I got thinking about the logistics of the squad travelling to away games. Do we have a staff member who specializes in booking hotels, coach travel, arranging pick up points, flights, itinerarys et etc. It's quite essential and i would imagine time consuming. Who sorts all that out?

I’d there isn’t anybody I’d nominate my mum

She’s quite handy at finding travel & accommodation at bargain prices.

She recently saved £1500 for 13 first class return rail tickets

I asked a similar question last week while on the tour around the training facility, certainly for fixtures in this country such as down south or London, the team fly down but catch the coach back, the coach meets the team at a regional airport and transports then to a hotel and then brings them home after the game

There's a member of staff who will sort a player out with a phone contract if they want... no doubt there's one to book the team hotels.

Fairly certain that this will be sorted by a specialist travel company. Can't see anyone within the club sorting this out.

Don’t know why they don’t just use Accy Clarets.

I'll be happy to help out supporters in the event of a Czech draw, but i imagine the club will be sorted
