A time machine - 24/5/2017

Post by Bin Ont Turf » Thu May 24, 2018 8:33 pm

Someone looking remarkably like Tom Baker has just approached me and said that Burnley will finish the 17/18 season 21 points ahead of Stoke City.

Ha ha ha ha, he's been on the sherry again.

Did he tell you we would take points from all the teams in the Premier League, except one, where you will be robbed of a point at the Turf.

No he didn't.

Thanks for that though, I've just smashed the Police box up.

Did he say we'd only lose 5 away games and would pick up 28 points on the road?

He told me that on 'Boxing Day, Steven Defour would'....
Then he just melted into the corn and I never saw him again.

No doubt he also told you Ashley Barnes' goals tally would end up in double figures and that there would be speculation about him being wanted by Chelsea.

He didn't mention that we would win emphatically away at the champions and The Olympic Stadium.

Unbeaten at Wembley, Old Trafford and Anfield.

Break our hoodoo at Goodison and The Hawthorns.

And fail to beat Brighton, Huddersfield and lose at home to Bournemouth and West ******* Brom!!!

Good thread this.

Tom Baker must have told that you will be loosing three key players through long term injuries, but do'nt worry, you'll still gain a European place.

He did mention us getting in to a European place, but even though he'd seen it he didn't even believe it.

Did he give any inkling as to whether we would still be able to afford a half time Twix?
