I’m afraid the relative anonymity of the internet makes so many keyboard warriors free with words.
I’ve been fighting a running battle with my Labour CLP about violent messaging on our site. After months of disinterest a comment by a contributor asking for someone to stick a hot poker in Esther McVey’s mouth got deemed misogynist and within days the site was removed.
For me it is important that such comments are dealt with, no one should be threatened in such a manner online without consequences.
I’m sure in most cases it’s just a case of childish bravado but the impact it can have on the victims life needs to be realised. If you don’t confront people and get them to accept they are responsible for what they post online then the situation only gets worse and before long you get a pack of such characters baying for blood,

The government leafleted every house in Britain to vote Remain. The are contriving to mess it up to say 'I told you so.' That is not only profoundly offensive but utterly stupid.

Anyway, I've thought of two world-changing inventions recently and sourced British companies to give them to, in the hope of boosting the UK. I can't do the idea myself so I gave them away. Obviously I can't tell you what they are.

Why are the tolerant ones always filled with the most hate?

Only need to go on a corbyn page and look at the venom they spew on there about tories to see first hand. Nothing is off limits or below the belt.

Of course Mayor Khan says it's a national problem. He would and it might be to some degree but crime in London is reportedly soaring.

The right do not label you as liberals as a group, that is an Americanism you have chosen for yourself. Your nocturnal standard bearer constantly refers to himself as a liberal as do many others who in my day would have identified themselves as socialists or activists or whatever. People like UTB are up in arms, quite rightly, when racist views are expressed but he is more than happy to use pejoratives to describe particular social groups. He is like a little boy giggling while he uses a rude word in this case gammon. He is also quite happy to openly admit he hates old white racist men. Not young racist just old white male ones. He is too stupid (sorry for the ITism) to see how racist and ageist a piece of misandry that statement is.
