[quote="northernpowerhohse) Makes sense to have some decent players on the bench then.[/quote]
But very difficult to do with only €100m to spend!

I will have a few points for akinfeev keeping a clean sheet. I had dzagoev though so just had to make a transfer.

Good keeper Akinfeev but no bonus points for saves

I'm in 4th thanks to my selection of Golovin. It'll be my highest position by far for the rest of the tournament

Used the rules to their advantage
If Golovin hadn't scored many points the captaincy can be changed to another player who hasn't played yet in that round
It's a no risk move really

Dyched...
If I’ve read correctly there is one wildcard for the tournament. You can make one transfer between GW1-2 and GW2-3.
You can make unlimited between GW3 and first knockout. Then it goes up something like 3 transfers between first knockout and quarters, 4 between quarters and semis and 5 between semis and final.
The page won’t load but it was something like that.

That's a ridiculous rule. Takes out a fair bit of strategy from the game.

I understand transfers for the later rounds to an extent. But no transfers would be far better imo. Earlier rounds is stupid.

Is that true or can you only change the players?
Either way both rules are pretty stupid.

think you can only do it after all matches have been completed in the day. Just click on player and select captain.

Can't get to grips with this game so my captain is muller (Germany) but today I have had a few players playing but left muller as captain. So should I have chosen a captain for today to double there points and then put muller back in? Are can you just double someone's points once through the first stage of games? There is all these boosts and wild cards I haven't a bloody clue so complicated

its all a risk. I’ve got griezmann captain tomorrow. If he doesnt score I’ll gamble and replace him with someone else. If he scores once, I could risk it but probs wouldnt.
As for the boosts, maximum captain picks it for you. Player with the highest score in your 11 gets double points.
Wildcard is just unlimited transfers for one round & bench boost is points for all 15.

I have Suarez as my captain. Have just clicked on him but there is no option to remove him from the captaincy??

Just checked with a mate and he said he couldnt change his team until the tables had updated. So you should be able to do it in the morning before 11am

You can't change captain once he's played
Think the trick is to pick your captain early and then switch if he fails
But not 100% the rules are confusing

You can change your captain unless he gets sent off. You can now make your subs!

If you put Muller back in as captain the player you put in for today wouldn't get the captain's points

Thanks people! All trial and error for me this game like we all do we like to think we know our stuff. But you have to be in the ball with this game alot of thinking involved. Thanks for your help so it seems you lose the captains points if you swop him to Someone else,I was thinking you could double someone’s score everyday if you chose a captain a day without losing any points.

Just loose cavanis double points and yes can change again
That's the way I read it
I'm not in this league but a works one and had cavanis as captain today but have just changed it to griezmann for tomorrow so should only lose 2 points from cavani which was the double captain points
His 2 points gained from the match should still stand
