England v Panama
I'll bet that their canal isn't as grand as the Leeds and Liverpool canal.
Rashford to start?

I'd start Rashford over Sterling and Loftus - Cheek over Alli

Re: England v Panama
3nil England. Come on you 3Lions.
Re: England v Panama
Not much on that bench is there.
Hope Loftus-Cheek can have an impact, haven't been overly impressed with his appearances to date, the best being the last game, which still was only ok.
Not sure what his natural position/role is meant to be.
Just hoping it is nerves, as he obviously must have something.

Loftus-Cheek over Wilshire. Dumb decision. This will end in tears. Will Southgate resign immediately or will he stay and subject us to more misery in two years time?

Southgate is a breath of fresh air

England fans outnumbered by Panama?

Re: England v Panama
Some of our passing is sh!te.
Re: England v Panama
3 corners 3 CB efforts has led to 3 goals.
Is that 3 assists for Tripps now?
We should just play for corners.

Re: England v Panama
Should be counted as Trips but unfortunately the first two another player gave the last pass to the goal scorer - despite this all being part of the set play and Trips providing the delivery spot on.MACCA wrote:3 corners 3 CB efforts has led to 3 goals.

Tripps looks world class.
Hope it doesn't get nasty, as I fear a few may get some nasty challenges on them.

Re: England v Panama
Referee is quite fussy and we have committed more fouls than Panama and both sides have had one player booked. We have to be careful that we do not get dragged into playing silly beggars and stay out of trouble.ElectroClaret wrote:I'll be amazed if Panama finish with eleven on the pitch.

Ghead Grisha has been a bit fussy but his decision making has been correct ---he is doing well in his first game of the Tournament and he has not needed VAR once!

Southgate is doing everything right - I will take a world cup where we are not relying on even winning the last game of the group stage nevermind relying on other results too.
Wilshire going would have been ridiculous given his match time and injury record. He isn't going to stay fit through a tournament.

Re: England v Panama
Clinical from England. We had to be patient that first half as opportunities were limited but things really opened up as the half wore on. Some dirty tactics from Panama but we've done well to dictate the tempo of the game and stay calm and in control.
Re: England v Panama
Oh I'm enjoying it, don't worry about that. It's just embarrassing teams like this make it into a World Cup, should never happen. Their cheating is a fking disgraceBuxtonclaret wrote:Or, instead of being embarrassed, you could just try and enjoy it.....?
