Interesting idea especially with Lennon's seeming dislike being on that side of the pitch. JBG and Lennon both on the pitch at the same time doesn't really work but I suspect it's going to be the case. Do attack-minded left backs make a decent fist of playing further upfield? Probably not but I like the notion.

It's something that was discussed in length a bit back, as he played wing back (yet spending the majority of his time as a winger) at times for Leeds. He can definitely do the role, but SD doesn't seem convinced as he wasn't even tried there in a friendly. I'd be surprised if he was suddenly going to start playing there now, in the first game of the Prem season.

Thing is jbg needs to play on the right and so does Lennon. Jbg is a better player. I suspect we will be keeping things tight at the saints. Hence suggesting Taylor wide left. Lennon is a decent option off the bench once their fans start moaning.
