Mighty Clarets versus Wotfor?

Post by IanMcL » Sun Aug 19, 2018 12:25 am

I am on the road very early, so just in case I get stuck in traffic, I have Madge on a long shift.

Here she is to fire us up and raise the roof for our heroes. We might need it against the league's tallest team.

Come on Burnley. Come on Burnley.

Morning all
From what is soft day here in Galway , which means light rain really .
Don't think I will be able to follow the game today as have the in-laws here so I have been asked to leave football to one side today , hey we will see .
Close game but we will win .

At kick off go to the loo and make sure you have earphones your mobile or tablet and your voice in sick /moaning mode and you just have to make sure you're there an hour and fifty minutes enjoy, oh and leave the lid down or your arse will go numb enjoy :D

The Holiday Inn Express is as full as I’ve seen it including at least a dozen from Watford, in the dining room..( plenty of Clarets as well).

it was in 1971 after relegation that I had to get the atlas out to find out where these hick places were. Losing away at places like Watford and Norwich, was an absolute insult to me, as a small child and tantamount to treason against all moral value.

7:16pm here and thankfully the evenings are getting cooler now after horrendous heat for 6 weeks. Hoping the Clarets are red hot today though. Not keen at all on these 9:30pm kick-offs. My 3-year old is a right tinker to get to sleep and this is pushing it! Still, will endeavour to be there from the off and hope for a organised but pleasing on the eye performance from the boys. I have a feeling for a 2-0. COME ON!!!! Can`t wait for the matchday thread...love `em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on Burnley! A win today would be a very nice 3 points that could put us in the top 4.

Strong 11 for us, I expect 4-4-2 around the 65min mark regardless of the scoreline.

Good team that!
Afternoon, Fellow Clarets from around the world. 8-)
Still strange seeing Hart in goal, given the class we've had in that position lately. :)
Anyway, from the damp, breezy hills;

For the second week running, SkySports have only listed us as having 5 substitutes on their app - what exactly is the issue? It’s bizarre.

State of that bench and to think of all the back slapping on here over the transfer window.
Where’s the large, grey haired old lad that occasionally occupies space on the bench ? Injured again ?

Their app has not been right for a number of weeks now.
The “formations” haven’t shown up on a number of games I’ve looked at, and according to them Jay only scored one in their 7-1 win yesterday

5 across midfield makes it less likely to have midfielders on the bench. I'm sure Vydra will be on it next weekend.
