Nonsense. There were plenty of people suggesting that he was still a top class goalkeeper.
He’s probably the best goalkeeper and the most decorated player to play for our club and is proving to be a brilliant signing.

NL Claret wrote:The worry with Hart in current form is keeping hold of him in the January transfer window. Let's not forget this lad was an England regular not long back and a PL title winner. Held in very high regard at City apart from Pep, they are naming a training pitch after him.
He's taken a pay cut to come to Burnley albeit from a massive golden handshake from City. I still give my head a wobble when I see Hart playing for the Clarets.
Not a worry at all. In the remote chance he thinks like that he will quickly recall that he lost his form when he played somewhere he wasnt wanted. City, West Ham and Torino. Back where he is wanted he is on fire.
No worries at all.

Hart just been interviewed. Said he is very happy with the stability we have offered him. Said it was a good move for him and we have a great manager and lads.
Also explained why he doesnt come for crosses but is aware it may get questioned. Said he has a better chance of saving it if its too risky to try and claim a high ball in a busy area.

He said Cardiff fans were chanting ‘England’s No 4’
Hart joked he’d take being No 4 - he’d be happy with that!
very funny!

I think he goes some way to fitting the Barton ilk - he’s got the money and the reputation, he’s been slated and fans of other teams love to have a dig at him and see him fail. He just wanted a “home” where he could enjoy his football and feel wanted again. He’ll surely be loved here if he carries on as he is doing just as Barton is/was.... one of the joys of playing for Burnley is that if you show the commitment and the skill then you’ll always be a claret.
I think it showed a lot when we apparently wanted him on loan and he said he’d only come if he got a proper deal as he wanted to feel settled - he’s come in as a back up keeper and has a club where the spotlight isn’t on him massively and he has to actually fight for his shirt for the first time in 95% oF his career. It’s kind of the perfect storm for a player like him and we’re getting a great deal out of it - throw in Billy Mercer and Hart is also getting a great deal.

Good signing or not, when our goalkeeper is M.O.M. against Bl00dy Cardiff City there is something going wrong.

The Beeb give their MOM award to JBG an assist and a goal is hard to argue with.

Immense yesterday AGAIN.
An absolute NO BRAINER of a signing. One of the best signings by any club this year. Said it when he signed, and its still true today.

I was one of those who thought it was a sound signing, but he certainly had a lot of doubters who said it was a stupid signing.

I was looking forward to a rendition of England's number 3 on his arrival. Strangely Fate played apart and he's anything but third choice!
