Phil Bardsley

Post by Spijed » Thu Jan 31, 2019 10:13 pm

Many thought Phil Bardsley to be past it.

He's currently one of our best players and I'm willing to give Peter Crouch a chance before writing him off!

Jonathan Walters should have been able to do a job for us and he's been a complete failure. Just because one old guy is doing okay for us doesn't mean beanpole will.

Walters got injured giving 110% against Blackburn unfortunately... so we will never know.

I hope he doesn’t. I hope he doesn’t have to. Nothing against Crouch but I see his role as a sub when we’re chasing a game. I know it’s optimistic, but i’ll be more than happy if we don’t need to use him.

I don't think we need be chasing a game. We could be winning and just giving the opposition something else to think about.

I don't get all the negativity around this signing. Sure, I would have liked to see a couple more arrive, but this is a different option for us. One of his former clubs up on Saturday.. who knows!?

Welcome to Burnley Peter!

Bardsley has been inspired since he can in from the Liverpool game onwards. He has kept quiet some of the best left-wing talent in the Premier league this season. If Crouch can impact anything like that then I will be happy.
