Being a miserable neigh on tee totaller these days, and this forums usually good for this sort of thing - as thread title really.... tea - any recommendations. Drink brews all day so try to stick to tea over coffee. Got a cupboard full of the stuff (loose leaf and bags - rock and roll eh) and cant get enough of it.
Best bags Ive found are 'Thompsons'. But almost out of them... also got some Cardamom ones from India that are incredible along with about 25 other varieties.
(What has life come to when youre posting this

)
Anyone any recommendations?

Heard a tale on the radio the other day.
A man and his wife visited India. They took it upon themselves to visit a tea plantation. Towards the end of the tour, they were in the packaging area.
The man asked the tour guide, "what happens to all the dust and and bits left on the floor at the end of the working day?"
The answer.
"Tea bags"........

I heard that story decades ago....... I think it's an old wives tale. They would have to spill a considerable amount on the floor to fill all the tea bags you see in the shops.

Got some Asda Gold Blend T-bags at present. They certainly give credence to the story about the sweepings up! Back to Yorkshire next shop!

Imperial Teas of Lincoln, online orders, loose leaf, about 200 varieties to play around with. Expensive though.
I personally like the Imperial Gold Pu Erh despite it sounding disgusting. Makes having a home office more of a pleasure.

Absolutely but I would have it without the milk. I used to drink it a lot but not had it for some time. Nice to see someone else likes that beautiful smokey flavour, most people haven't even heard of it.

Tea
Yorkshire tea, bought by the sack from Costco. Waste of time buying anything else, imo.
Coffee
L'or coffee pods, just as good as Nespresso pods, without paying for the brand.

I could drink Espresso, Cortado or Turkish Coffee all day but I would be more with it after 10 pints than 10 of them.
I used to think it was a load of nonsense that coffee could have the effect it does. Until I had a few 'proper' double espressos once. Had to pull over on the M1 for a lie down

The late Labour MP and government ministerTony Benn reckoned he supped at least a pint of tea every waking hour once when on a train journey he calculated that he had consumed enough to float the QE2. He lived until he was 88, so it couldn't have done him much harm. Mind you, he never drank alcohol -- a true teAtotaller.

Westminster are excellent bags. Made by a German company and aimed at the British expat market. I buy them in Portugal. There is another German-made bag. I forget the name, but it's another with a typical English feel to it. They'll bring out one called Houses of Parliament next.
In Thailand Lipton Yellow Label are excellent. I used to buy them in Tokyo in the early 90s. They were weak. Now they have some strength.

I've had some. It promises to be the best tea ever, but tastes quite bitter and leaves you parched.

Whatever tea you drink if they sell it loose then remember it’s quite a bit cheaper then sold in bags.

I stumbled upon it about 6mths ago & tried it & liked it, I tend to drink a cup before yoga, it's very unique in it's taste I'll have to try it black when I'm next indulging.
