Not enough first team games IMHO ... and I wouldn't blame him for Hereford everything they kicked flew in the net ... we played worse that season Hereford was a fluke

Re: best and worst goalkeepers since watching Burnley
Have seriously been watching since the Tony Waiters days around 1971, so I can't judge Bkacklaw or Thompson.
My favourites have been
Stephenson (bar his last season in 82/83
Peyton
Heaton
Worst
To many to name
Most memorable worst displays
Stevenson at Grimsby in 81
Kendal at Blackpool
Jensen against Wigan and Rovers 09/10

I'd also rate Stevenson in the top 3. I was a big fan of Gerry Peyton. Couldn't understand the club selling him when they did. He was the perfect replacement for Stevenson. And of course Tom Heaton. Been superb.
At the other end of the scale, there's quite a few. Hansbury, Neenan, And Jensen only had one good year in ten.

I remember Billy O'Rourke just getting a start and having 7 banged past him at QPR. Never recovered from the shellshock.
Oops best - Tom Heaton.
He has different flying balls to contend with and positioning is an art form.

Re: best and worst goalkeepers since watching Burnley
Billy O'Rourke is nowhere near our worst keeper. Seems a lot of people put him down because of the famous 7-0 on his debut. He was only 19, thrown in the deep end in front of the TV cameras and was badly let down by his defence that day. Left the field in tears and was named man of the match by the Burnley Express.
Billy was an England Youth international and a crucial part of the team that got to the Youth cup semi (and may well have won it if Billy hadn't had an untimely injury causing him to miss the 1st leg and draft in a Burnley schools goalie). Not the best we've ever had but a long way off the worst.

One of our keepers ended up as the team dentist for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL. Can't remember his name, however. Maybe somebody can help me.
