A tough ask but 69pts has been enough for a top 6 spot every season since the first 38 game PL season.
And in quite a few cases good enough for a top 4 finish.

Everton have Swansea at home next too, win that and they'll be well beyond any threat of a relegation place. The have Bolasie to come back some time in the New Year as well; cant see them finishing in the bottom half at all.
Southampton seem to be replacing them as the "best of the rest" aspiration team that's falling short (though doubt a relegation candidate).

I’ve said all season that the press were daft talking of Everton that way.

They had one really bad result before us, a couple after, but were never as bad as suggested.

Just spotted there is a £17m difference between 17th and 8th (where the bookies have us to finish, behind Leicester). 17th is where I would have grabbed with both hands on Aug 1st.

That’s a big wedge of cash to spend, even after bonuses.

Relative to expectation at the beginning of the season we are doing better than any other team in the league by miles. Really hope we can keep it up. The team must be growing in confidence every week so no reason why we can't finish in a place which gets us into Europe next season.

Someone may have pointed this out already but this latest round of fixtures was top 10 v bottom 10, Palace's victory over Watford the only result that didn't go to form. There's a four point gap between Everton (10th) and Southampton (11th).

Don't think there'll be much movement between those two groups of 10 for the remainder of the season. As far as it's possible to predict at this stage we have a very good chance of finishing between 7th and 10th.

Bottom half is interesting. Hodgson doing a great job at Palace has given them a real chance after all looked lost after 7 games and no points. At the moment Swansea look the worst team by some distance but they are by no means adrift and if they were to act quickly and replace Clement with Pulis that could all change. Newcastle in free-fall. If memory serves they were above us before we played them at the end of October - we now have more than double their points total.

Shows just how much money is swashing around in this league.

I hope when the board set out the budgets, any unexpected finances that come in, cup runs or prize money, it gets used a bonus cash, to possibly improve facilities, or other things that were not priority around the ground.

Like us normal folk do with bills etc
