Possible targets for the additional wide man we need?
Re: Possible targets for the additional wide man we need?
Not one to go straight into the starting lineup but one for the conveyer belt / impact sub, Josh Windass. Been playing left wing for Rangers recently, scoring and creating goals. Would only cost a couple of million, low cost gamble.

Wasn't he at Stanley?
Yes he was.
PNE have had a bid of £500k rejected, Wigan interested, Rangers apparently might take £2million.
I think both josh and another young lad went to Rangers from Stanley in 2015 and at the time wondered why we had not been interested in them; but maybe we were and decided neither suited us.
Looked all this up and the other player with a big future was Matt Crooks who joined Northampton this season from Rangers-so that prediction looks like a load of cobblers which I suppose was predictable given his present destination.

Scott Sinclair had a stinker of an Old Firm game. Missed a sitter, looked weak in the tackle and lacking any zip or desire. Just been subbed.
Windass largely ineffective barring one good effort in the first half.
UTC!

Re: Possible targets for the additional wide man we need?
Redmond or Stanislas would do for me.
We would struggle to bring in a player from a London club or a big city club I think, unless it's one of the relegation candidates . Best chance is to pilfer the likes of Bournemouth, Newcastle and Southampton whilst we have such a commanding points total.
We are probably the only club who can realistically be planning for next season (in terms of transfers and off the field changes)

JWP brace, looks like he'll be getting more regular starts to keep Pellegrino in a job.CombatClaret wrote:I'd like to see James Ward Prouse come to us from Saints where he's never nailed on a starting role despite being a great crosser of the ball and excellent set piece taker, still plenty of years in him at 23.
Better chance of more England call ups with us too.
