Lennon will be an exciting signing. Wells was and still is the opposite. One is an international the other mainly a journeyman.

Football is all about opinions , some players come along and fit right in, they perform and put in a half decent shift, other players take a while and eventually turn out to be wonderful signings, but I think SD has signed a few poor ones, along with a couple of real gems, I just don’t see NW As a great astute signing, I cannot see him making it as a premier player , maybe a few season back, but not now,
This proposed signing of Lennon seems odd, I would much prefer a young signing , not somebody who has flopped , I’m not bothered about his mental health problems ( I also had a breakdown and considered taking my own life).. i just don’t think this type of player fits in with what we are building at Burnley,
I just don't think we would be anywhere near the front of the queue for the type of young player you describe. I genuinely think Lennon is the best we can get right now. Welcome Aaron!

Lennon could be a great signing and hopefully will resurrect his career.
In fact it could be just like starting over..

Wells and Lennon have a couple of things in common. One is that they are both internationals, and i don't think that is the root of some people's problem

Great signing. A Dyche type player. I'd file this under a 'Barton' type signing. Split fans down the middle at signing but could be brilliant for us in the long run.

Let's hope he flourishes like Cork did since signing. The collective group atmosphere and inclusion could be just what Lennon needs on and off the pitch.

The latest news is that Aaron Lennon has been transferred to Burnley from Everton for an unrevealed fee . We should understand that many of our players have sustained injuries and are presently unavailable .
Burnley hae recruited two players and we hope that both of them will deliver the goods and live to the good expectations of claret's fans .

JGB would be a big improvement on Hendrick attempting to play in that role.

Excellent signing very good. Why theyd get shut of him amd by walcott for 20m is beyond me. Both good players but nowt between them.

I'd agree, but they needed a striker, so there is just that extra aspect of Walcott's game that makes the move make sense for Everton. Not many 20m pound players have got nigh on 20 goals in 2 seasons in this current market.

And well, if that frees AL up for us, i won't complain

So, he is in our budget/wage range. Fallen at the first hurdle Sidney

He was available.

Dyche thinks he's alright. Do for me.
Go and give yourself a little tug to congratulate yourself.

Hopefully he turns out to be a good signing.

Theyve been saying walcott can play down the middle for 10 years. But he never has. Good player all the same.

I think you should tell us so we can see it in black and white and decide if it's silly or not.

If it's not silly, it won't be silly to say it.

He's from Yorkshire and therefore alright. Good signing, squad strengthened, and more importantly the strengths of our forwards are catered to, they all like a nice cross. In case anyone missed it we haven't been scoring a lot of goals, a fact which was true even before injuries hit the team.
