Total crap back passing for fun instead of going for the kill.Against a decent team we will get hammered
To think we scrapped our league programme for this dross.Southgate learned nothing from this pointless friendy against a very poor side.Dutch football really has gone to the dogs.It shows how low Holland have sunk when Memphis the Flop looked their best player

Thought we looked very good first half. Kept the ball and passed crisply and with precision. Second half the Dutch put a bit more effort in and we then lost our rhythm when the three subs were made.
Maguire was excellent at the back and Henderson kept it simple in midfield. However, Rose looked really rusty and gave the ball away quite a few times, which is understandable given how little football he has played recently.
Vardy, Alli and Wellbeck offered nothing when they came on.
As for the new kit, I like the colour scheme but the shirts look like they are made from toilet paper and don’t fit properly.

I thought Lingaard showed his intelligence where Alli came on and demonstrated his lack of. That can only be a good thing!

Stones looks more suspect every time he plays. Couple of ok things then blows it.

Don't worry, if Smalling and Jones are fit they will be starting, they have to, they play for Manure.

Played OK against a pretty poor team I thought. It should be a better test on Tuesday.
At the back, Trips, Walker, Pickford and McGuire I thought all played well. Stones is overrated as a ball player, he played colleagues into trouble with back passes/poor passes a few times. Rose looked good going forward but rusty defending.
Henderson put himself around a lot and always seemed to be available for colleagues, I just wish he'd go forward with the ball sometimes when there's a big space in front of him to run into.
Others did well enough although needing a bit more understanding when they get around the penalty area. Quite a lot of pace in that side.
See how it goes at Wemberlee, hopefully another step forward.

Agreed, I have been saying this all season; Lingard is a very clever player and I believe has an extremely high ceiling for growth.
I think he's better than Alli, a lot better.

Maybe in 3 and a half years, when Alli is Lingard's current age, he might be as good then.

At least if Tarks and Pope do not play they will not get injured and be ready for the last Burnley games when hopefully another 12 points out of 24 will see us on 55 points which should/could be enough for 7th. place.

Pure muppetry trying to analyse players' performances against utterly disintersted opponents ...that was a 90 minute knockabout with no edge whatsoever....nobody was ever going to come out of that not smelling of roses....there are conference midfields that could knock the ball about under so little challenge.
Judge things when we play a side that actually gives a toss about the result.

That was a typical fur coat and no knickers England performance, against what must be the worst Dutch side in the history of international football.

At least Southgate is trying to play football, he hasn’t got the greatest pool of players to pick from so give him some credit , a big improvement on Hodgeson hoof ball.
